The Freedom to Stand in your Truth

So how’s your truth barometer going out there, blossom?

Sagittarius is a sign greatly aligned with truth and with the Black Moon (also in Sagittarius) sitting conjunct this particular Full Moon be prepared to want to honour yours.

You may find (especially if you’re particularly sensitive to energy) that your BS radar is particularly fine tuned this month as well.

If you’ve been feeling suppressed or held back, the build up to this full Moon could find you struggling with that and wanting to let it all out.

Inspiration and Motivation

The warm and radiant Fire Grand Trine (Moon, Saturn, Leo North Node and Uranus) is helpful in that it is infusing a dose of courage, faith and motivation into making changes at this Full Moon.

What makes you feel vital and alive?

Do more of that.

Honour Spontaneity, Adventure and Your Vision.

Be Truth, Be Open.

Pursue Growth and Expansion.

The T square involving the Full Moon, Saturn and Chiron may indicate that painful experiences, illness or pain are the driving force behind or maybe this pain is coming up for you as you move towards being all that you want to be during this life time.

Old wounds, low self confidence, an inability to feel ”seen’ for who you really are or a lack of courage may present themselves.

Do you feel free to express exactly who you are?

Ultimately, it is you that is responsible for your emotional well-being, so please listen to what it is that you’re needing right now.

There is something that you innately know about who you came to be during this lifetime.

Are you pursuing that?

Wise Teacher

Perhaps someone or something has appeared within your life (or will do so as we get closer to the Full Moon), who will act as a teacher or guide for you at this time.

Or perhaps you need to seek out that person.

Who can help you with forward progress?

Relationship Tension

The ruler of this Moon is Jupiter; currently travelling through Libra and stationary at the time of this Full Moon, so expect some intensity if growth is required in one or several of your relationships.

Sometimes growth requires discomfort and a relationship cannot be it’s best without some emotional honesty and the freedom to be yourself.

If a relationship is not respectful of your freedom or your needs, it could feel stifling right now.

At the time of the Full Moon, Mars will be in Cancer forming an almost exact sextile with Venus in Taurus conjunct Uranus.

Perhaps the desire to rebel is conflicting with the urge to belong to or to care for others.

Can you meld the two together?

Is there a way to make it work and to cooperate without losing the true essence of who you are or your sense of freedom and space?

Sagittarius is also about wisdom and ultimately that means your own inner wisdom.

Do you have a strong, innate connection to your inner self/your inner wise man/woman?

Do you tune in and listen to what your heart desires?

If you’re feeling lost, lacking in purpose or uninspired it could be time to take up a spiritual practice.

Whatever draws you; whether that be yoga, meditation, going church or a regular group, which nurtures your spirit and strengthens your intuition, could prove greatly healing right now.

Toxic Emotions/The Shadow Side

Remember that Full Moons tend to bring out the shadow, so watch for the shadow traits of Sagittarius, which may present themselves at this time – Moralistic Behaviour, Judgement, Excess, Clumsiness, Irresponsibility, Tactlessness.

Toxic Emotions, which serve to hold you back may also surface now – Fear, Guilt, Lack, Duty…

These are Ego-based emotions that keep your energy low and letting these emotions drive your actions can make life seem dull, miserable and burdensome.

If you’re sensitive, it may also be worth considering having a News break or a Social Media Sojourn.

It’s amazing how a reconnection with the real World around you can restore inner peace and give you more time to do the things you love.

Choosing Self Love and Vulnerability over Fear

With Venus in Taurus at this Full Moon, why not choose Self Love and to elevate your Self Worth?

Yes, it may feel frightening to stand in the true essence and light of who you are and it may feel especially vulnerable, but that vulnerability is often your greatest asset.

After all, you cannot be yourself whilst you are fearing what others’ will think of the real you.

Do things that make you feel grateful, that nurture and love your body and which increase your overall sense of well-being.

Even if at first, that feels a little ‘selfish’.

Working on you is actually one of the least selfish things that you can do, because when you’re functioning from a full cup,  it increases your capacity to be there for others, to raise the vibration of the Planet and to be a source of light and joy for those around you.

Do this and you’ll likely tap into the positive aspects of Sagittarius – Faith, Optimism, Honesty, Spontaneity and Adventure.

In Honour of those Leading the Way

This write up would not be complete without honouring the amazing people who refuse to stay silent against wrong-doing in our World.

The courageous souls, who become ‘whistle-blowers’ or who stand up against the might of the system for those vulnerable souls, who do not have a voice (including our animal kingdom).

There are some mightily inspirational people out there standing in their truth and bringing through the most amazing changes to make the Earth a better place.

At this Full Moon, please consider lighting a candle and praying for them and all that they do. It’s no easy task; especially when they often risk persecution, ridicule, disbelief and sometimes danger.

Please be mindful of what you believe in; especially News reports, which often seek to divide and conquer.

Your heart always knows the truth, so tune in often and always question what doesn’t feel valid.

Taking Care of your Earthly Body – New Moon in Taurus

New Moon in Taurus

Sensuality, Security and The Body

In the fast-paced society that we live in today it can be hard to make time for breathing, let alone sensuality, but human touch is a strong need for overall well-being.

This month sees the Taurus/Scorpio axis highlighted, so you may well find yourself craving more connection, affection and intimacy.

April’s New Moon will fall in the sign of Taurus on April 26th 2017 at 10:16:03PM (AEST); a sign greatly associated with the need for physical affection and security.

Anyone with a child with Taurus prominent in their natal chart is likely to confirm their innate need for this and you may well find that this is coming up strongly for the children in your life right now.

Taurus is also the sign that is most often associated with Mother Earth, so making time for nature, fruits and veggies is a wonderful way to honour her and your body.

Revolution in the Air

Mercury is conjunct Uranus in Aries in the New Moon chart and both are connecting with Pluto via a square (aspect of tension).

The transit of Pluto through Capricorn, which began back in 2008 is synonymous with the uprooting of corruption within our power systems here on Earth and when Mercury and Uranus get together in this powerful configuration, people are unlikely to remain quiet to what they are seeing.

Revolution is in the Air.

Mercury/Uranus can also cause a wired feeling to the mind, so if yours is ticking over and preventing you from sleeping it may be worth listening to what it’s trying to tell you; especially if you’re feeling fired up about something.

There can be sudden insights and awakenings now and with Mercury in Retrograde motion a re-think, re-view and re-structure of belief systems is likely; especially when those belief systems are based on false information.

The Quest for Freedom and Truth and our Responsibility to Mother Earth

The Black Moon (representative of The Divine Feminine and what has been suppressed) is pushing for greater truth and freedom of expression, which may not always feel comfortable.

The New Moon’s Grand Cross with Mars in Gemini and the Virgo/Pisces Nodal Axis, as well as the Black Moon’s square to Neptune, appears to be pushing for the outing of information related to deception and to the health of our planet.

Of course, Taurus also governs the body and now more than ever we need to ensure that we know what is going into and onto our bodies if we are to ensure our future health; including ingredients, what those ingredients are (and their possible effects upon the body) and the source of those ingredients.

It’s no coincidence that the documentary series “The Truth About Vaccines” came out last week and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants more information around vaccines.

It covers a lot.

Globally, more and more people are waking up to the corruption of those in  positions of power; such as Governments, The Pharmaceutical Industry, the FDA (The Governors of our food and drug safety) and issues with the Environment and our Animals.

Such abuse of power cannot be allowed to continue. This may involve the ruffling of feathers, but discomfort is necessary if we are to progress.

Taurus likes stability, safety and security. The Black Moon in Sagittarius wants truth and freedom.

Both are necessary if we are to live as free people upon the Earth.

Integration and Working diligently towards Change

Thankfully, with the Saturn/Uranus Trine highlighted in this New Moon chart, it’s probable that the changes you’ve been going through during the last 7+ years (since late 2009) are now becoming more integrated into your life, making them less of a challenge.

What are you now embodying and what needs a little more integration?

What intentions could you set under this New Moon that will either help you to assimilate those changes further or enable you to move forward in a way that honours them?

This aspect gives patience and discipline when breathing new life into areas of your life that have become stagnant or in need of change.

With a Grand Trine between the New Moon, Saturn in Sagittarius and The North Node in Virgo, you may also be considering how you can bring changes related to health and/or work improvements through into the way that you serve others.

If things are to change, then we all need to take responsibility for the health of our own bodies and to minimise the impact that we have upon the Earth.

We are her caretakers, after all.

 Compassion and Oneness

With the Moon’s ruler Venus at the anuretic (final) degree of Pisces in the chart and conjunct Chiron, compassion, oneness and the capacity for deep and unconditional love that encompasses all could be strong.

This contact can have you feeling deep empathy in relation to the pain and suffering that is occurring in the World.

How can you ground this compassion into Mother Earth and help to convert the ‘Love of Power’ (that we often see playing out in the wider World) to the ‘Power of Love’ in your own life?

With Venus yet to completely clear her retrograde path you may be privy to insights around wounded parts of yourself that affect your capacity for self love.

What needs to be addressed and healed that is likely connected to a present relationship or maybe an old wound related to your experience of your parents?

Keep opening. Keep forgiving. Keep moving forwards.

And remember, you are as much a part of this Earth as everyone else. You belong and your input is very much needed.

Body Wisdom

If you’re being visited by the Black Moon in Sagittarius, chances are you’re be finding it difficult to quiet your true self.

Is it time for some emotional honesty and to tune into and trust the wisdom of your body?

We know truth when it is spoken and we innately know what is good and what is not good for our bodies.

What changes can you bring through under this New Moon to nurture your body in more healthful ways?

If you are a parent, what changes can you implement that will help your children to learn to love and nurture of their own bodies?

Remember that children learn from our actions, so anything that you do for you, you do for them.

Awakening and the Need for Patience

If you are someone who is going through an awakening process at this minute and you’re feeling a little lost in the fog, be patient with yourself, give yourself time to adjust and remember that you’re exactly where you need to be right now.

A Need for Earthing/Grounding

If you’re finding that your nervous system is in overdrive at the minute or if you’re noticing that your children tend to be more hyper than usual, you may need to implement a grounding routine to keep everyone centred.

Spending time in nature, walking barefoot on the Earth, burning Essential Oils such as Cedarwood, Vetiver and Sandalwood or pursuits such as gardening, mediation and yoga can help, as can upping the exercise.

Healing Relationships, Cultivating Self Love and Balance – Full Moon in Libra 2017

Sign up for my Newsletter here.

Relationships, Compassion and Healing

April’s Full Moon will fall in the sign of Libra on 11th April at 04:08pm (AEST) again highlighting our current Jupiter transits and continuing the push for powerful transformation and growth.

This transformation is likely to take place through relationships, relating and/or your relationship with yourself.

Venus rules this Full Moon chart and placed alongside Chiron in Pisces, she indicates the potential for deep sensitivity, compassion and the possible connection with old wounds.

Illumination of Pain Points

Past pain around being unlovable, betrayal (usually of own ideals/expectations) and the struggle for independence within a relationship may arise now as could difficulty with even minor conflict.

Saturn in Sagittarius moving to square Chiron shows the likely need to take responsibility for healing (your own, a loved one or a relationship) and can highlight where fears and restriction may be keeping you bound.

Guilt, Inadequacy, Shame and a lack of self worth can all feature during this transit and you may have to face where walls have been erected that are no longer necessary.

You may have to consider where your desires and/or values are not being met or acknowledged.

Could it be that more self love and assertion (in asking for what you desire) is needed here?

You may also be experiencing financial issues, which can be a reflection of low self worth and can contribute to a feeling of constraint.

Full Moons tend to heighten energy and illuminate what needs attention.

If you’ve had an intense, chaotic and drama-filled build up to this Full Moon then it might be worth considering some changes.

The Moon’s square to Pluto can rumble up deep emotions that may have previously been buried and can also indicate power struggles and/or darker emotions; such as depression, envy and rage.

With Uranus thrown into the mix, there can be sudden revelations, outbursts and the ability to see or connect with what was previously hidden.

With only a few more days until she turns direct, what lessons has Venus bought to you and what now needs to be addressed?

Click here for my Venus Retrograde post if you haven’t read it or would like a refresh 🙂

The Quest for Peace and Sensuality

Libra wants to keep the peace and sometimes at all costs, but such feelings need to be felt, experienced and worked through if true harmony is to be achieved.

Burying emotions and pretending that they don’t exist can lead to them appearing bigger than they truly are.

Remember that our reactions and the way that we deal with such emotions often determine the outcome.

If you’re feeling envy, try looking at what that person or thing has shown you about your own life. What do you desire that they have?

If you’re feeling a sense of rage, try looking at what’s triggering it. Do you need a physical outlet such as regular exercise or more physical connection with your partner (Mars is in Taurus after all) or has someone pushed a boundary too far?

If you’re connecting with darker moods, then maybe there’s a need to clean up your diet, detoxify and/or spend more time outdoors.

With Mars in Taurus inconjunct this Full Moon, the need for greater sensuality and closeness could be strong.

Slowing down and making time for the senses may bring a greater sense of well-being. Think delicious food, massages, nature walks, essential oils …

It’s also possible that stubborn behaviour could be preventing closeness.

Using Mercury’s current retrograde to review what is arising, patiently working through any issues and finding practical and realistic solutions whilst holding yourself and others in compassion may help.

Breaking out of Restriction(s)/ Transmutation and Personal Power

Independence and growth may also feature strongly and you may find conflicts arise with your loved ones; especially where someone may be feeling restricted.

How are you honouring your need for adventure and expansion?

Are any of the above pain points holding you back?

When faced honestly, such pain can be transmuted and released opening us to deeper levels of awakening and re-connecting us with our personal power.

Balance is a key Libran theme.

Are you looking after everyone else’s needs and neglecting your own?

Are you spending too much time at the office and not enough with loved ones?

What steps can be put in place to allow you greater freedom, independence and the ability to enjoy what you value?

What Area of your Life is this Full Moon Highlighting?

Remember to check your chart and to look for where 21 degrees and 32 seconds of Libra and 21 degrees and 32 seconds of Aries fall.

Which house axis is being highlighted and what areas of life does that axis represent?

Do you have any planets sitting around 21 degrees within your chart? What are they bringing to the table?

Venus Underground – The Need to Soften

Venus (currently in her retrograde motion) is shining strongly up there with the Sun and Moon, as this month’s Aries New Moon exacts (on March 28th at 12:57:08pm (AEST)).

By this time, you will have been gifted 10 days of Venus’ journey through the Underworld, which begins (now) – when Venus is no longer visible in the night sky  – and ends when she rises as the morning star (early April).

I’ve posted this New Moon report earlier than usual to bring this to your awareness.

This stage of her retrograde journey is when we can come face to face with our own shadows, so be aware of what is happening around you at this time.

Remain open and aware as we now journey with Venus through our own underworld (subconscious)

For the next 2 weeks (18th March until early April (AEST)), events may be conspiring to show you where a lack of self love may be being carried into relationships and how this may be a fundamental basis for any negative patterns that are playing out.

With Venus in Aries we may suddenly see where we need to soften; where we need to be more loving, patient and gentle with ourselves and those we value

We may see a side of ourselves that is operating at a level of impatience, arrogance, brusqueness, competitiveness or selfishness …

… or perhaps we will see how we are being too compliant and not pushy enough when it comes to our desires.

Aries is warrior, masculine energy and it can be easy to fall into these behaviours with the busyness of life as we now experience it.

Time can be a big trigger – I.e. Worrying about being late.

What triggers you?

This is a potent New Moon for setting intentions that will bring greater balance to relationships, for healing relationship issues and for taking actions that lead to increased self-love.

Where do you need to connect more with your feminine side (men and women have a feminine side) – think intuitive, receptive, motherly, nurturing (of self and others) and/or where are you being too much of this and not asserting for your desires?

Early April, Venus will rise with the morning sky once again -transformed.

What would you like to rebirth during this Lunar Cycle?

What intentions will you set on March 28th?

Here’s the rest of the energetic low-down on our next New Moon 🙂

The Quest for Freedom and Opening to Trust

The Black Moon (representative of The Goddess) is in trine aspect with Venus at this New Moon.

In Sagittarius, she is pushing you towards greater freedom, to be true to yourself, to embrace your adventurous side, to listen to your own inner wisdom and to cultivate trust.

What fears arise in you as you contemplate those words?

Are you open to these energies and to pursuing them within your own life?

Is there a need for healing?

New Moon – New Beginnings

Aries is dynamic, motivational energy and with 5 points falling in Aries at this New Moon, you may be feeling the impetus to begin something new or to push something forwards in your life.

Ambition, Ideas and Vision

Powerful ambitions could be stirred as we experience the second hit of the Jupiter/Pluto square (31st March (AEST)) and you may be full of ideas that you’d like to get working on; perhaps, which add to your vision of how you’d like to be of service in the World (Grand Trine – Saturn in Sagittarius, Mercury in Aries, North Node in Virgo).

The Uranus conjunction with Mercury can also bring insight and inventive solutions and with Saturn and Mercury set to turn retrograde early April, you may find yourself called to slow down and to make improvements in one or several areas of your life.

Potential Challenges and Impatience

Aries energy likes a challenge, but it doesn’t do particularly well with delays and miscommunication; both of which can occur when Saturn and Mercury turn retrograde.

This month, you’d be wise to ensure that you check and double-check before rushing into anything.

Jupiter is acting as the lead planet in the New Moon chart (locomotive) and with Jupiter also currently in retrograde motion, you may feel like growth isn’t happening as quickly as you’d like.

Frustration and impatience can arise now and with Saturn travelling through Jupiter’s sign (Sagittarius), you may have a tendency to pessimism, so watch for negative thinking.

These retrogrades don’t occur to annoy us (although, yes – it can seem that way!!  😉 ).

They occur so that we can ensure that we lay the right foundation(s) and that we’re travelling in the right direction.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, under the pump and frustrated it may help to place your hand on your heart, breathe deeply for a minute or ten (yes, you have time) and once you feel calmer, say the words ‘I have all the time in the World’ as you breathe out.

Do this as many times as feels right for you and hopefully it will help to centre you.

Persistence and Stamina

Mars in Taurus (although classed as in detriment) is thankfully well placed this month for  bringing persistence, patience, stamina and consideration into actions.

Mars does not always like the slow and steady pace of Taurus, but there does seem to be a need for fore-thought and consideration before rushing in and Mars in Taurus can bring tenacity.

Think ‘slow and steady wins the race’.

The Need for Balance and Self Care

It will be important to keep everything in balance as we enter into this new lunar cycle, so ensure that self care remains important; especially as there is plenty of masculine (go-getter) energy around at this New Moon.

Jupiter/Pluto hits tend to bring a stretched to the limit feel. This is powerful, ambitious energy.

This is a great month to up the exercise.

Using the extra energy to your advantage and helping to lessen feelings; such as anger, impatience, resentment and frustration.

Which area of your life is likely to be affected by this New Moon?

Where does this New Moon fall within your natal chart? Look for 7degrees and 37seconds of Aries.

What does that house (area of life) represent?

Are there any planets, which fall at (or very close to) 7degrees within your natal chart?

Those situated between 5 and 9 degrees of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) and also Virgo or Scorpio are likely to add more to the picture.

The Need to Strengthen Rituals and Self Love - Virgo Full Moon 2017

A funny thing happened as I started to write this blog post.

I began to feel overwhelmed and anxious and I felt totally incapable of doing it.

I started to think of all the other things that I really needed to be doing and I really couldn’t think how to express what I was seeing in the chart.

I felt blocked.

That’s no surprise given the energy that I’m seeing in this Full Moon chart and the fact that it falls within 2 degrees of my natal Sun.

A walk, some Calm and Clear and a mini meditation were enough to let me know that it wasn’t the right time to write this particular blog post and to step away for a while.

And then today, I came back to it and it flowed.

Everything in Divine Time 🙂

Busy, Busy, Busy – Virgo Full Moon and Jupiter Triggers

With the second hit of the Jupiter/Uranus Opposition just behind us and with Jupiter now moving to trigger the second hit of the Jupiter/Pluto square, you may be feeling pushed to the limit.

Jupiter brings growth – awesome!, but it can also bring excess and when squared with Pluto we’re talking powerful and (at times) uncomfortable (square aspect) growth.

Monday’s Full Moon highlights these Jupiter transits and with the Moon falling in Virgo (a sign synonymous with busyness, hard work and perfection), you could easily feel like you have too much on your plate.

Potential for Negative Emotions and Illumination of Pain Points

Full Moons heighten energy, so you may find yourself going into overwhelm or connecting with negative feelings; such as anxiety and inadequacy this week.

Watch for a tendency to wanting to do everything perfectly and for excessive self criticism, which could induce nervous tendencies and take you out of your flow.

Virgo energy has high standards and with Saturn in the mix, this can bring up a sense of there being “no time” leading to paralysis and the inability to let life flow through you.

With The Moon opposing The Sun/Chiron conjunction (potential illumination of wounds) and creating a T Square (challenging aspect) with Saturn (burdens/blockages/the work)  you may find yourself connecting with old wounds, so watch how you’re reacting to current situations.

Are those reactions applicable to what’s happening now or are they magnified and out of context due to them triggering a past hurt?

With Mercury in Pisces squaring Saturn, you may be finding it difficult to communicate about such pain points and could be feeling unsupported. You may also have to face where you are holding onto a rigid viewpoint that is due for a change.

It may be revealing to look at where low self worth or a sense of not being valued could be playing into these negatives; especially with Venus currently travelling retrograde.

Making a list and going through it in order of priority can help to lessen anxiety and bring order to chaos.

Heightened Sensitivity, Clouded Judgement and Letting Go

Heightened sensitivity and an inability to see things clearly could also be playing a part with Pisces energy still strong in our skies (Neptune, Chiron, The Sun, Mercury all in Pisces) and Neptune not making any strong contacts to other planets in the chart .

Is it time to let go (South Node in Pisces) of old patterns of behaviour, excess…

… or maybe of a tendency to pushing your rock up hill?

Neptune is flow energy, so if you’re not tuned into your internal rhythm, you may find that you’re coming up against blocks and stop signs.

Perhaps it’s time to pause and strengthen your connection to your higher self?

Daily outdoor walks, yoga, meditation and deep breathing are some ways that you can do this.

Such practices can alter our perception of time for the better and decrease stress levels.

Tiredness and Potential for Illness

With Venus travelling Retrograde and Mars currently moving through Venus-ruled Taurus, you may also be feeling more tired than is usual; perhaps even experiencing illness, which can be a Virgo manifestation.

If this is the case then it may be a sign that The Universe/God/Source wants you to slow down and rest for a while.

Illness and Tiredness can exacerbate such negative feelings, adding to the inability to gain a true perspective on where things are at right now.

Strengthening of Rituals and Purification

Our daily rituals are a fundamental foundation of how we feel on a day to day basis.

When life gets busy, doesn’t seem to be going your way or you experience illness, what happens to your rituals?

Do you continue with healthful daily practices, strengthening them where needed or do you throw them out of the window in a “I haven’t got time for that” type of manner?

Yes, we’ve all done it, but those rituals are what will keep you anchored when life gets really tough and without them what do you think is going to sustain you? Hint: it’s not the 15 Mars Bars that keep calling to you!!

Virgo presides over rituals and I would highly recommend smudging your home, your car, yourself and all those who live with you as we move towards this Full Moon.

The February eclipse bought up so much, that there may well be lots of residual energy hanging around, needing to be cleared.

Living Your Passion Through Service

Virgo is a sign of service and with the Jupiter/Uranus opposition falling at the midpoint of Mars and Venus at the time of this Full Moon there is potential for deepening the connection with your passion(s).

How would you like to serve whilst you’re here on Earth?

What outlet would connect you with daily joy and enable you to express yourself at your fullest?

What do you Desire?

This is also a great indicator for relationship growth and you may find that you are able to connect more deeply with your sensuality at this time and to understand what it is that you desire from your partner.

How can you both grow together from this point?

What do you need to do differently to waken things up a little?

Desires can also extend to other sphere’s beyond intimate relationships.

Is Venus’ retrograde journey prompting you to reassess what you desire in life?

Valuing Yourself and The Law of Attraction

With Venus Retrograde in the Full Moon chart and sharing a mutual reception (travelling through each others’ signs) with Mars in Taurus there is a big question of ‘How are you valuing yourself?’

Is it all work and no play?

Do you make time for rituals that value your body …

… Candle Light Baths, Massages, Regular Hair Cuts?

Do you feed yourself nourishing and healthful food?

If you feel like you’re constantly in a spin and that there’s no time to spend time on you, then how is that eminating out into the Universe and what are you subsequently attracting to yourself?

Think Law of Attraction here.

For example, if you’re valuing yourself and gifting yourself down time, then the Universe will reflect that back at you and bring you more to value yourself with.

On the other hand, if you’re barely making 5 hours sleep, constantly complaining of how busy you are and striving to hold everything together, how’s that going to reflect?

Jupiter sits at the midway point of  Venus and Mars in Venus’ sign (Libra) indicating that self-love and time spent on our own personal worth could help you to re=establish balance within your life.

Self Love and Self Worth always starts with you.

… and now I’m singing Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” in my head 🙂

What Area of your Life is this Full Moon Highlighting?

Remember to check your chart and to look for where 22 degrees and 13 seconds of Virgo and 22 degrees and 13 seconds of Pisces fall.

Which house axis is being highlighted and what areas of life does that axis represent?

Do you have any planets sitting around 22 degrees within your chart? What are they bringing to the table?

If you’d like help with figuring this out you can sign up to my newsletter here and receive my free EBook “Introductory Tips for Astrological Self Awareness”.

I also offer a 12-month subscription to my Lunar Illuminations.

These alerts are a great way to track your intention setting and to tune into your own emotional ebb and flow as the Moon moves through her eight phases each month.

Deepening of the Heart and Re-Aligning with Core Values – Venus Retrograde 2017

Up there with what has been February’s Eclipse window we have Venus; travelling at her slowest and moving through the degrees of the Zodiac to, which she will later return on her retrograde journey (yes, she’s already in the shadow zone).

Venus Retrograde – Subtle Signs – Have you Experienced Any Yet?

If you’re sensitive to energy, you may have been privy to some of the subtle whispers of what her upcoming retrograde journey may bring to you on a personal level.

That’s because she’s been steadily slowing down and moving through this ‘shadow zone’ since 31st January 2017.

Have you started to reconsider your appearance lately?

Perhaps you’re feeling the need for a makeover or are generally feeling a little dowdy?

Are you feeling a little less inclined to socialise right now?

Venus Retrograde – Meaning

Venus turns retrograde approximately once every 18months usually triggering an introversion of energy.

That’s because Venus is going deep during this period. She’s going within and she’s reconnecting you with your heart.

This re-connection triggers a personal review, usually related to the following themes:

  • What You Value
  • Who You Value
  • Your Tastes
  • Your Self Love/Self Worth Barometer
  • Your Creativity – What do you LOVE to Create and how?
  • Your Financial Position ((which interestingly, tends to be directly linked to Point 3)
  • You ability and openness to receive

This review can be invaluable; helping you to deepen your connection with your own heart and to move forward more in touch with your sense of personal style and your desires after she turns direct (April 2017).

Venus Retrograde – Recommendations

Therefore, it’s recommended to:

  • Slow down,
  • Make the time to be more present (relate more fully) with yourself during Venus Retrograde. For Example:
    • Through periods of alone time
    • Through Regular Meditation (Inner Journeying)
    • By Journaling (Writing about your thoughts and feelings at this time)
    • By being aware and open to what occurs for you (events, feelings) during this phase.

Because your value system is about to undergo a review, it is not generally recommended to:

Believe me, you’re listening to someone who went all out on a whole new hair colour during one Venus Retrograde and she will never do that again!!

I also have a sister who purchased her house during a Venus Retrograde period and it has cost her quite a bit of money in repairs over the last few years.

In fact, if possible, it may be best to wait out such decisions until Venus clears the retrograde zone completely.

If you can, of course.

If you can’t, then you may want to check and double-check the details where possible.

Venus will clear the retrograde zone when she passes the point at which she initially turned retrograde and that’s due to occur on 19th May at 02:32am (AEST).

This is also a great time to reassess your finances and to go over your budget.

Venus Retrograde and The Past

It can be enlightening to look back 8 years (if you can remember that far), as this year’s Venus retrograde will hold similar echoes to the one occurring during 2009.

That’s because she will be activating the same signs and likely the same house within your birth chart (house = area of life).

The possibility of encountering people from your past (with whom you’ve shared a relationship) can also increase during the Venus Retrograde period; especially if you still have lessons to learn here.

Venus Retrograde and Your Love Life

Your love life and relationships may be up for review at this time; especially with Jupiter also retrograde at this time in Venus’ sign (Libra).

That’s because Jupiter is the planet of growth and Venus is what we want to attract to us and what we value, so with Jupiter and Venus retrograde, you may be considering:

  • What you value about your relationship(s)
  • How you can bring even more value to them
  • How can you grow from your relationships
  • Where you want more from a relationship
  • How you relate (to others and to yourself)

Although some relationships could end during this time, it is highly unlikely that a usually happy and strong one will.

Such a break up would usually be a case of “the straw breaking the camels back” where one partner is desiring growth or more appreciation and the other is unable to give this.

Venus Retrograde and Creativity

venus-5-pointed-starVenus’ Retrograde path, as she moves through our skies creates a five-pointed star, which is a symbol of manifestation and innate creativity.

During her period of retrogradation, you may feel an innate deepening and an inner pull that re-connects you with the magic and wonder of your inner World.

Fostering a deep connection with your inner World can increase your capacity for unconditional love (of self and others) and bring forth a strengthening of your innate creativity that you can then bring into the World as your unique expression of love.

Venus Retrograde Through The Signs (Aries and Pisces)

Venus will seemingly move backwards through two signs.

They are Aries and Pisces.

The following explains how Venus functions in these signs, so that you can be on the look out for possible expressions of how her retrograde energy is playing out for you on a personal level.

Are any of these themes arising in you during her retrograde journey?

Venus in Aries

venus-retrograde-in-ariesVenus is in detriment in Mars-ruled Aries.

Here, she is colourful, impatient, competitive and bold; often taking the lead in relationships and pursuing what she desires ardently.

This placement is a fiery Venus and she needs an outlet for all that excess energy to prevent arguments and conflicts from creeping in.

A strong leader, independent and active, Venus is warm and fun in Aries, but she may find it difficult to consider the needs of her loved ones, and to exercise patience; seeking the fulfilment of her desires immediately.

Impulsive actions or spending,  frustrations related to wanting things right now and lust could feature, as Venus backtracks through this sign.

Venus in Aries embraces the warrior within, which when used constructively, can give motivation to fight on behalf of others and the motivation to keep dream or a personal relationship thriving and renewed.

Venus retrograde in Piscesvenus-in-pisce

In contrast to her Aries journey, Venus is exalted in Pisces.

At best, this is Venus at her most compassionate, heart-centred, sensitive and unconditional; devoted to service.

At worse, the idealised Pisces vision can result in disappointment; when dreams don’t live up the fantasy or when partners fall from their idealised pedestals (and they will – they’re human).

Venus in Pisces longs to merge in sacred union with others, but the lack of boundaries can feel stifling to other signs and when the spiritual path is denied, negative patterns; such as alcoholism, victim mentality and confusion can creep in sometimes resulting in co-dependent relationships.

This Venus wants romance (the fairy tale), stories of heroism (where they are either victim or saviour) and is often something of a creative genius, intuitively connecting with and channelling through their Art (in whatever form they create).

A softening, a deepening of compassion, the understanding that we are all one, heightened sensitivity and empathy and an increased love for all is a likely manifestation of Venus’ journey through Pisces, as is allowing oneself to be vulnerable and being more open to trust and faith in a higher power.

This is also a great time to practice forgiveness and to let go of old hurts that may be holding you back from deeper levels of relating.

The Details and How This Might Affect You Personally

Venus will turn  retrograde at 07:09pm on 4th March 2017 (AEST).

Between March 4th 2017 and Mid-May Venus will seemingly move backwards from 13degrees and 8seconds of Aries to 26degrees and 54seconds of Pisces.

Where does that area fall within your natal chart?

Which houses (area of life) are likely to be affected?

Where are you re-valuing your life?

Also look for Planets that fall within that degree range (26 degrees and 54 seconds of Pisces to 13 degrees and 8 seconds of Aries) within your personal chart, as their function is likely to be affected.

Heightened Sensitivity and Opening to The Flow of Life- New Moon Solar Eclipse in Pisces

Sign up my Newsletter here.

What is Eclipse Energy?

If you’ve been experiencing periodical waves of emotion or have been gifted with personal realisations around patterns of behaving then the chances are that you’re well and truly plugged into the Eclipse energy that is surrounding us right now.

Eclipse energy changes the electromagnetic frequency and as it interacts with our own auric energy field it can make for a heavy and intense time both emotionally and energetically.

Eclipse energy is Lunar energy, so deep emotions can surface for our conscious acknowledgement, which are often related to lunar themes; such as

  • The Past,
  • Early Childhood,
  • Belonging,
  • Nourishment and Nurture
  • Mother (how we were mothered and how we mother)
  • Safety
  • Needs

Relationships can also come under fire, as we tend to carry our unhealed emotional baggage through into our adult relationships.

The Need for Compassion and Kindness

Because Eclipse Seasons increase our sensitivity, compassion is important; both compassion for others and compassion for ourselves.

Kindness is so important right now.

We live in such busy times that we often just carry on regardless; whizzing around in a flurry of activities and “must does”.

This active life is masculine energy and this constant call to go outside of ourselves can take its toll on our basic emotional needs, which tend to be denied or often suppressed as we strive to get on in the World.

Feminine energy is deep, innate, intuitive and receptive.

(It’s important to note here that both men and women carry masculine and feminine energy and, regardless of gender, both need to be acknowledged and balanced).

Eclipse seasons can force us to confront and to reflect upon our tender side and what our emotional needs may be, so please give yourself time to process what is arising for you.

Such emotional intensity and sensitivity can increase experiences of depression and anxiety, so please be mindful of what the Cosmos is highlighting for you (or those around you) at this time.

A look at the Moon in your natal chart can be enlightening during an eclipse (by sign, house and aspects).

What related themes are arising for you now? (see below for a few ideas related to each Moon sign).

New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Pisces – Themes

Our approaching New Moon/Solar Eclipse will fall in Pisces on February 27th at 00:58am (AEST) and with five key placements in Pisces at this time (The Sun, The Moon, Neptune, Mercury and The South Node) the following themes could be manifesting for you right now:

  • An increased need for Emotional Closeness, Exchange of Feelings and Empathy.
  • A need to Express your Feelings (I.e. write, speak, draw, dance, sing…) and feel that they are heard.
  • An increased longing for Union (which is often the reason we’re drawn to alcohol – to feel a sense of merging and of loosening our boundaries with life/others).
  • Feeling Overwhelmed.
  • Feeling like a Victim (disempowered).
  • Deep Sensitivity and Compassion
  • Boundary Issues (are your boundaries too lax or too strong?)
  • Confusion
  • Escapism (I.e. using food, alcohol or other substances to numb or stuff deep feelings)
  • Increased Need to Fantasise/Day Dream
  • Themes around Service (our need to serve the collective)
  • Themes around Surrender (do you surrender to the flow of life or attempt to control)

This eclipse falls on the South Node indicating that events, which occur between now and August may be pointers showing you emotional patterns, which need to be released and let go of.

Example emotional triggers by Natal Moon Sign that Eclipses can bring up

What is triggering you and where may you be blocking the flow of life through fear?

For example:

  • Capricorn Moons may come face to face with control issues,
  • Scorpio Moons may connect with Trust Issues,
  • Virgo Moons may experience an increase in anxiety (fear of outcomes/the future),
  • Cancerian Moons may be asked to face emotional defence mechanisms (are they still necessary)
  • Pisces Moons may confront feelings of loss, helplessness and where they feel adrift and unsupported
  • Aries Moons may be processing residual anger or patterns around reactivity and impatience
  • Taurus Moons may confront fears around a lack of security
  • Gemini Moons may find it harder than ever to rest under Eclipse energy and may meet with emotional pain around not being heard
  • Aquarian Moons may confront patterns around detachment or rejection
  • Leo Moons may have to acknowledge where they don’t feel truly seen by others or where they fear to shine their light
  • Libra Moons may be called to look at how early family conditioning is leading to an inability to express darker emotions or accept these traits in others
  • Sagittarius Moons may be called to look at how family belief systems may be holding them back from following their own truth

Other Energies in the February 27th Eclipse Chart

The Eclipse chart contains an exact Mars/Uranus conjunction in Aries, which carries strong rebellious energy and the urge to break out from situations that you can no longer tolerate.

Please be mindful of a tendency to angry outbursts with sudden, impulsive and unexpected flair ups or events being a possibility.

Instead, can you think of ways to constructively channel this energy by motivating yourself to loosen the chains that bind; honouring your need for individuality, freedom and growth?

Letting go of emotional patterns (through seeking help if you need to) that you feel are holding you back and/or frustrating you can help.

Mars/Uranus energy can also bring sudden, out of the blue events…

Bernadette Brady writes in her book “The Eagle and The Lark” that this particular Eclipse belongs to “a family of eclipses that brings with it the element of pleasant surprise. Sudden happiness, a joyful event, the lucky break, the lucky win. The Events which will be occurring … can positively change the person’s life”.

… so let’s hope for some good news.

From this position, Mars is triggering the long term Jupiter/Uranus opposition, so the need for freedom, inspiration and growth is likely to be big right now.

There may be sudden occurrences that bring about endings, but remember that endings clear the way for a new beginning.

For more on this energy, click here.

With Mercury’s presence in Pisces alongside this New Moon/Solar Eclipse your imagination and desire to express your creativity may be heightened.

Great for meditation, cultivating a stronger connection to your higher self and for being inspired, but beware of a tendency to delusion, paranoia, self-doubt and confusion.

Which area of your life is likely to be affected by this Eclipse?

Where does this eclipse energy fall within your natal chart? Look for 8degrees and 12seconds of Pisces.

What does that house (area of life) represent?

Are there any planets, which fall at 8degrees within your natal chart? Those situated at 8 degrees of the mutable signs are likely to be strongly affected (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) and also any planet residing at 8 degrees of Libra or Leo.
