Spend Some Time in and Around Water to Harness the Full Dynamic Power of October’s – Full Moon in Aries

RJM_1682.JPG
Like this Full Moon, my beautiful daughter lacks the water element in her birth chart and simply lights up in the Ocean 🙂 Include plenty of the Wet Stuff to Bring Balance during early October!!

A Boost in Motivation

The Full Moon in Aries will exact on October 6th 2017 at 04:40am AEST, GMT +10) bringing with it a likely boost in energy levels and motivation.

It’s time to get things moving and take action towards those goals!!

Tap into some of that Aries daring and just do it!!

Fighting For Needs and Protection

Mars is the ruler of this Full Moon.

The God of War is at his highest expression when fighting on behalf of a cause or the needs of others

… and if you’ve been feeling unheard or ignored of late then you may find you’re compelled to speak up about that too.

Are You Doing What You Want?

With Aries’ concern with the self, this energy can receive a bad reputation for selfishness, but you know what?

Being selfish and self indulgent sometimes  is down right liberating.

This is a great Moon to finally sign up for something you’ve wanted to do for yourself, but perhaps you’ve been putting off due to feeling guilty or bound to others.

Overcoming Challenges, Reactivity, Impatience and Aggression

The week leading up to a Full Moon can illuminate that which is in need of healing or personal patterns in need of some conscious attention.

With Aries energy in the spotlight, we’re talking: reactivity, impatience, frustration and aggressive outbursts; especially where there is anger that hasn’t been dealt with or fully acknowledged.

With a square to Pluto thrown in for good measure, there may be a rise in emotional intensity and potential volcanic eruptions.

Especially heightened with Pluto due to be moving at his slowest and turning direct on September 29th.

The week leading up to this Full Moon is likely to contain some raw power!!

The stuff that moves mountains, but it can also run amok if not harnessed and channelled effectively.

Potential Relationship Dramas

Relationship angst is a likely strong theme as the Me (Aries Moon) versus You (Libra Sun) polarity is highlighted and that Pluto contact can throw in some drama too, so I would highly recommend dealing with issues early on.

Illuminating the Dark Side

You may also be given insights to energy previously categorised as ‘bad’ or ‘negative’ and, which you have attempted to suppress.

How do you deal with your anger?

Were you raised to believe that good people don’t lose their temper or perhaps don’t even feel anger?

If you tend to ignore it, push it down and hope it will go away, it may just come back in full swing during the lead up to this Full Moon.

Resentment, Depression and Skin Rashes are all possible manifestations of angry emotions that have not been expressed and if you’re someone who usually says yes to everyone and everything (at your own expense) then you may find it hard to hold it together now.

Dropping The Rose-Coloured Glasses

With 3 placements in Libra (Sun, Mercury and Jupiter) diplomatic solutions are possible.

But with the Sun and Mercury inconjunct Neptune you may need to drop your idealism and take off those rose-tinted spectacles.

We are human beings with a wide array of different moods and emotions.

Expecting peace and harmony at all times is unrealistic.

How about we have a go at loving one another unconditionally, exactly as we are in any given moment?

That doesn’t mean that we allow others to run rough shod over us or that we look after everyone else’s needs and neglect our own.

But it does mean that we can hold space for others who may be losing their shit around this time and respond with compassion and understanding.

Patience is not likely to be a strong point  now, but thankfully Aries anger is quick to ignite and quick to diffuse, so try not to hold on to grievances.

Motivated by Love

With Mars (ruler of this Full Moon) and Venus snuggling up close in Virgo it would be wise to use these insights for some self or relationship improvement rather than berate yourself or others.

Pluto also offers us the chance for transformation – maybe through talking or modifying your communication style and this energy is also pretty gifted at showing us our emotional depths.

What imbalances are playing out here?

What does the situation need?

Advice for Coping – Include the Wet Stuff!!

If you are finding the run up to this Moon a tricky one, I highly recommend:

  • Drinking plenty of water (1 litre per 22kgs of body weight is the recommended daily amount) and spend time in and around water if you can – baths, ocean swims… This Full Moon chart is lacking in the water element; bringing a risk of burn out, stress and lack of consideration for other’s feelings. Sitting by a waterfall and listening to it may well help to soothe any stress and bring you back into balance. The photo I used here is of my daughter (yes, I know she is beautiful 🙂 ). She also lacks the water element in her natal chart and simply lights up in the surf!! Spending time in and around water completes and balances her. We may all need some of this early October.
  • Safely expressing any anger or resentment that you’re currently feeling before early October
  • Writing out any anger that is still being felt around this Full Moon – for example, with a burning ritual
  • Upping the exercise to mitigate potential anxiety or to release pent up energy
  • Ensuring that your brain (Aries Rules the head) and your nervous system are well nourished in the run up to October 6th may help to mitigate anxiety and lower stress levels  (Especially with Mars’ placement in Virgo at this Full Moon). You may have to think on your feet!!
    • Brain Foods =Applies, Almonds, Cauliflower, Broccoli, Cabbage, Blueberries, Walnuts, Rockmelon (also known as Cantaloupe Melon depending on where you live), Watermelon
    • Soothe Stress and Potentially Related Digestive Upsets = Lettuce, Pine Nuts, Ginger, eat lots of Magnesium-Rich (i.e. apples, avocados, apricots, pineapple, peaches, grapefruit, garlic, seeds and whole grains) and Potassium-Rich foods (i.e. apples, apricots, bananas, avocados, brown rice, dates, grapefruit, leafy veggies, kelp, lemons, sesame seeds)
  • Get enough sleep (aim for 8 hours every night)
  • Meditate for at least 10 minutes a day to help lower blood pressure and increase feelings of harmony and spiritual connection
  • Spending time alone to process your feelings may prevent you from taking them out on anyone unnecessarily.
  • Looking for ways to improve how you express your anger – books, courses, counsellors, therapists…
  • Consider taking a Bush Flower Essence like Black Eyed Susan to help lower any stress or anxiety or book a Bush Flower Essence Consultation for a blend specific to you.

Personal Power in Overcoming Challenges

This is a great Full Moon for rising to and overcoming any challenges that are thrown your way.

If there’s something you’re looking to start then Aries energy is a good a time as any and with November’s New and Full Moons falling in the fixed signs of Taurus and Scorpio that would be a great time to apply staying power to whatever has begun now.

So, what are you going to channel all that fiery energy into?

Which area of your life is likely to be affected by this Full Moon?

Where does this Full Moon fall within your natal chart?

If you’re unsure of how to find this and would like help with understanding your natal chart, you can sign up for my newsletter and receive my E-Book “Introductory Tips for Astrological Self Awareness” for free.

Look for 12 degrees and 42 seconds of Libra (The Sun), and 12 degrees and 42 seconds of Aries (The Moon).

Which house axis (areas of life) is being highlighted in your chart?

Are there any planets, which fall at (or very close to) 12 degrees within your natal chart?

Those situated between 10 and 14 degrees of the cardinal signs (Aries, Libra, Cancer and Capricorn) and also Virgo, Scorpio, Taurus and Pisces are likely to add more to the picture.

Embrace the Changes and Get Excited!! – Re-Thinking Rituals, Re-Hashing Health-Full Habits & Re-Doing the Day to Day – New Moon in Virgo Sept 2017

New Moon in Virgo Sept 20th 2017

If you’d like to receive my New and Full Moon reports in your Inbox a little earlier each month, you can sign up to my Newsletter here.

Are you feeling busy?

The Virgo month (when the Sun is moving through the sign of Virgo) can certainly have us all feeling on task and potentially overwhelmed with a never ending To Do list.

Time to Hone Skills and Make Ideas Happen

September’s New Moon falls on 20th September at 03:30:34pm (AEST) in the sign of Virgo.

Virgo is the sign of ritual and service; of honing your talents and your skills, so that you can offer them in service to humanity.

If the Leo energy of last month and August’s New Moon Leo Eclipse energy) has you brimming with creativity then this month will be a time of refinement and of nutting out the details for those inspired ideas.

There’s also an air of excitement around with so much Uranus playing into the picture (more on this below).

It’s time to make those changes!!

Time to Refine, Learning the Lessons and Paying Attention to Detail

Mercury rules this Moon and is travelling direct once more at the time of the New Moon.

What lessons did Mercury Retrograde bring to you and what can you now set in motion to ensure that you heed those lessons?

Did the run up to the Pisces Full Moon on the 6th bring confusion your way or perhaps a sense of letting go and releasing?

When Mercury backtracks through his own sign of Virgo there can be lessons around precision, taking care and paying attention to the details – floor wiped (in my case)!!

This is potent energy for getting down to the nitty-gritty details and for discerning what will and what won’t work.

Instilling the practical, diligent and orderly, you may find that this Virgo New Moon is just what you need to instigate the actions needed to manifest your inspirations into something tangible and Virgo energy can certainly imbue you with the work ethic to get the job done.

How can you work with greater efficiency?

We’re now in the ‘Action Phase’ of this particular Mercury cycle, so go all out and implement those changes that you’ve been considering.

Moving Forward, Accepting Mistakes as Lessons and Kindness to Self and Others

Mistakes offer us the ability to make needed change within our lives and without them we might never review nor improve anything, so it’s important to be grateful for them.

Yes, I know that they can seem like an inconvenience at the time and it can be difficult to actually be thankful that you or something or someone else messed up, but you now have the potential to make something amazing even better – be it a habit, your health, a dearly loved relationship or a fulfilling job.

Therefore, be gentle with yourself and others, as Virgo energy can be critical and, at times, sharp.

With the Moon in tight opposition to Chiron and squaring Saturn at this New Moon it’s important to take responsibility, to act on any lessons and to not spend your energy needlessly berating yourself or others over it.

This type of energy can bring up old wounds and pain points – what is needing to heal and to be acknowledged?

No one is perfect and one mess up does not mean that you’re not cut out for whatever it is that you want to achieve in life.

The best movies always have a low point, where we wonder if that’s it. Is it all over? Will the hero give in, throw in the towel and walk away?

Or…

… will that hero dig deep and look at their experience in another light?

Will the set back prompt a re-ignition of their desire(s)? Usually, yes!!

Are you going to be the hero of your own story?

And remember humour!!

Virgos usually have a certain amount of wit up their sleeves to get them through any perceived disasters.

Learning to laugh at yourself can sometimes be the BEST medicine!!

As a friend’s Mum always used to say to her “Pick Yourself Up and Brush Yourself Down”.

You may have also connected with past emotions, patterns or a strong sense of grief as we neared the exact alignment of the previous Full Moon (September 6th).

Did you acknowledge those feelings and allow yourself time to process them?

With regards to the patterns/past emotions, have you now started to implement some strategies to help you to release and move through them?

Often we can connect with old stuff that we thought we’d already healed when planets travel retrograde.

If this happened to you, then it’s likely just another layer of the onion wanting to be peeled off or a reminder of the need to reset some things in life – maybe the need for stronger boundaries or the re-implementation of mindful rituals.

Health

If the recent Eclipse portal and Mercury Retrograde bought ill health your way, this New Moon is a great one for setting intentions to refine and retune your diet and daily routines.

That’s because, we have all 5 of the Astrological personal planets falling in Virgo under this New Moon.

The Personal Planets are the ones closest to the Earth, which affect us on a personal energetic level. They are:

  • The Moon (our emotions/needs),
  • The Sun (our essence, illumination, fulfilment),
  • Mars (how we act),
  • Venus (what we love, desires, relationships, finances)
  • and Mercury (how we think, what we say and how we say it, interests).

Virgo is the sign associated with self-development, sickness, daily routines, work, service, habits, purification and rituals.

This is strong energy for setting those well-being intentions as well as intentions for improving the day to day functioning of your life.

How can you make improvements in these areas?

What can you bring in now and commit to within your daily life that will help action this?

Do you:

  • Regularly Exercise, Eat Whole Foods (from nature) and Nourish your body with goodness

or

  • Are you Loading on the Doughnuts, Takeaways and Packaged Food far too habitually?

Remember small steps👣 are the way forward.

Are You Listening to What Your Body Needs?

Mercury is the planet of communication and his rulership over Virgo reminds us that our bodies are constantly sending us signals as to how it’s tracking.

Your body gets sick for a reason and it’s simply trying to get you to listen to what it really needs (and no, that probably isn’t a flu jab – well, unless you want to pump yourself full of bio-hazards and neuro-toxicity).

Over here in Australia there has been an ‘epidemic’ of the flu and yet the flu jab is pushed more than ever nowadays.

Interestingly, if you watch The Truth about Vaccines documentary it points out that those who take up the flu vaccine are more likely to fall victims to the flu virus during pandemics and epidemics and it explains the reasons why.

Illness as a Journey

Personally, I believe that illness is part of our human journey.

Being ill tells us when our bodies need rest, need to release toxicity and need to recover (note the use of ‘re’ words here – very apt for Mercury Retrograde and yes, this last Eclipse portal   was highlighted as a big potential for illness (by Bernadette Brady), so it’s not really surprising that this has happened.

Listen to your body and work with what it’s telling you.

Suppression is not healing and we can only ever truly heal when we own 100% what is happening right now with our own health.

Where’s yours at?…

Do you need:

  • To introduce more healthful food into your day
  • A morning, lunch time or evening walk
  • Drink adequate water (1 litre per 22kgs of body weight)
  • Ensure adequate rest (aim for 8 hours sleep a night).

Would improvements help alleviate any current pain that you’re experiencing or mitigate the severity of future illness symptoms?

There really is so much emphasis these days on ‘doing, doing, doing’ nowadays and with some that’s led to lots of suppression in the form of taking pharmaceuticals to ‘hurry back to work’.

This is not tuning in to what the true self really needs (emotionally) and what the body really needs (rest, recovery, nutritional balance and harmony)

Intuitive Hunches/The Importance of Remaining Grounded

With Mercury and Mars aspecting Neptune at this New Moon your intuition and sensitivity could be ramped up a notch.

But then so could the potential for confusion and for feeling foggy.

If you’re relating to the fogginess or you’re connecting with anxious feelings then beginning a daily meditation ritual could work wonders ✨🙏🏻🙇🏽

Combining the Neptune love of the mystical and the Virgo love of rituals is likely to help.

You may also wish to consider how your current daily rituals are serving you.

Making a Song and Dance of your Creativity

If you’re already meditating regularly or are an Arty type then the chances are that you already know what you want to bring through to your life.

How can you include more of your artistic passions and soulful creativity into your everyday life?

Neptune reminds us to BE and to go with the flow, so remember to tune into your heart and what is happening around you whilst you’re chasing after those goals.

Things tend of go much more smoothly when we’re truly in tune with what is arising around us.

Focused Action can Bring Transformation and Results

With Pluto in Trine aspect to Mercury and Mars, focused action (including some of that intuitive tuning-in bought about by Neptune) should help you to achieve your results this month and if transformation is part of your goal then this is great energy for ushering that in.

Pluto adds emotional strength and tenacity.

Magic is in the Air!! It’s all Very Exciting!!

Neptune also presides over music and movies; anything that opens you up to the possibility of being part of something greater than yourself and with Uranus and Neptune also connecting at this New Moon you may find yourself drawn to an ideal or getting lost in a fantasy.

An outing to the cinema or a concert could prove magical right now; as could every day life if you allow yourself to see the synchronicities and the every day miracles that occur.

With the Jupiter/Uranus opposition closing in for it’s final hit and with Uranus aspecting the Moon, there is so much excitement and possibility in the air!!

The Importance of Being Grounded and the Need for Change and Adventure

Be wary of ‘throwing the baby out with the bath water’ in your desire to be free of what you see as limiting or restrictive within your life, however.

With Jupiter travelling through Libra, this may well apply to your partnership or another significant relationship.

What is in need of a change, more balance, a shake up or a breath of fresh air?

This is great energy for instigating changes and for imbuing you with the confidence and push to make them happen.

Just ensure that you’re clear on what it is that you really want…

… and then get really excited!!!

If you feel that you’re looking at things realistically and your heart is crying out for you to make the leap, then this could just be the time to finally do it.

Just be warned that Virgo energy usually requires that you to work for those changes and that you practice true diligence along the way.

Life is a balancing act and, although we don’t want to walk away from situations that can be worked on and improved upon, we don’t want to remain in unfulfilling jobs, relationships or positions that are going nowhere either.

That just leads to suppression and stagnant energy.

So, what is it that you want and what is it that you don’t want?

Are you going to heed that call to adventure?

The Need for a Purpose and to be of Service vs. Workaholic Tendencies

Virgo energy loves to serve.

Do you feel that your day to day work is serving an important role that not only helps others, but brings you a great deal of fulfilment as you do so?

It can be important to also be mindful of serving yourself as you move through your day, as Virgos can become so intent on helping others that they can let their own needs fall to one side.

Looking after your own care, setting appropriate boundaries and taking rest when it is needed will lessen the potential for future illness, nervous disorders, anxiety and restless nights.

Honouring yourself and your needs can also lead to you finding greater enjoyment in your job and looking for what you enjoy about your work and finding ways to make it even more enjoyable can mitigate work-blues.

What about your work brings you a sense of purpose?

What personal lessons are you currently learning as you carry out your work?

Do you enjoy the people that you work with, the environment, the work itself?

The Potential for Confusion, Going with the Flow and a Touch of Compassion- Full Moon in Pisces September 2017

The Potential For Confusion and Overwhelm & The Need to Go With The Flow

If you’d like to receive my New and Full Moon reports in your Inbox a little earlier each month, you can sign up to my Newsletter here.

Apologies for the Confusion

Okay, so before I continue, you have every right to be confused.

I totally messed up on my latest Full Moon post and somehow managed to blend the energy of the upcoming September New Moon in Virgo (occurring September 20th) with this week’s Full Moon in Pisces (occurring September 6th).

Yes, that’s right – there is no Full Moon in Virgo this week – The Full Moon is falling in Pisces, but there is lots of Virgo energy around, as the Sun is currently in Virgo (and will oppose our Pisces Full Moon).

Mars will also be in Virgo as the Full Moon hits and Mercury (currently retrograde and obviously having a massive impact on my personal energy) will also re-enter Virgo very soon after the Full Moon (on September 10th), so some of my original post remains here and some will re-feature in my up-coming post on the Virgo New Moon on September 20th.

I have no idea how I did it or why it took me until this morning to realise what I’d done.

Only that I’d started to write about the New Moon before the Full Moon this month and that obviously paved the way for me to go completely off track!!

Lesson learnt!!

I’ve had my butt whipped by Mercury and his very recent journey through my own Sun Sign (Virgo) and I’ve also had Mercury Retrograde conjunct my Sun in Virgo with me for the last year (as denoted by my Solar Return chart), so it’s been a big year of lessons, reviews, renovations and restructuring for me on many levels – personal, home, financial, career, commitments…

And yes, part of that is needing to take responsibility for more forward planning and organisation with Mother Earth Astrology!!

Anyway, enough of my babbling.

Sincerely sorry for the mistake.

Time for a cuppa now for me and to schedule a planning date in my diary.

Thank goodness the reno on our home is almost complete – yay!! more time for my beloved Astrology 🙂

Much Love, Toria xo

The Need to Go with The Flow

Yes, in case you haven’t already noticed, Mercury is retrograde at the minute.

Virgos and Leos are the ones in the firing line this time around, as Mercury has been moving backwards through your signs, but that doesn’t mean that the rest of the signs are immune.

Mercury rules Virgo and Gemini in Astrology, so no matter which sign he’s backtracking through, these two signs tend to be strongly affected every time he retrogrades.

And…

… we all have these signs somewhere in our charts, so despite those three signs being strongly activated right now (Gemini, Virgo and Leo), it’s also likely that you’re being affected in some way too.

For me personally, there have been changed appointments, links that usually work failing, network issues and all the usual Mercury Retrograde shenanigans playing out within my life and within the lives of friends, neighbours and family.

As we’ve moved through these last two weeks in the build up to our Full Moon in Pisces, however, I have flowed with whatever has been asked of me by choosing to be in the moment.

Pisces teaches us the Art of BEing, The Art of Going with the Flow and the Art of Trust.

Releasing Expectation, Learning the Lessons, Forgiveness and Trust

I have learnt over the years that it is usually my own personal expectations that make what appears in my daily life hard to deal with.

By learning to trust what is happening in every moment and to be present with that (exactly as it is), it is amazing time and again how life proves to be delivering exactly what I need.

So, the next time you’re stuck in traffic, your lunch date gets held up or blows you out or your child doesn’t react in the way that you expected, try taking a deep breath and meeting life exactly as it is in that moment – no judgement, no anger, no frustration…

What is the best thing that you can do at this point and how is that working out for you?

Virgo is a mutable sign, so maybe Mercury’s Retrograde through Virgo has required greater adaptability, flexibility and the ability to think on your feet?

Through Leo, is he asking you to re-work what sets your heart alight or re-think how you like to create?

And yes, there’s also the lessons that retrograde planets bring to us.

So, if you’ve also experienced a couple of weeks of change, flux, delays, rework and uncertainty, how can you take responsibility for it?

Do you need to communicate more effectively?

Could there be a tinge of criticism or bossiness in your communication style or maybe a hint of drama that is asking for your awareness?

Do you need to check and double-check appointments, event times, phone numbers?

Do you need to slow down or make greater time for rest and relaxation?

Do you need to let go of expectations?

How do you react when things don’t turn out how you anticipated and how can you better deal with it if that reaction isn’t serving you?

Pisces also teaches us compassion (of self and others), forgiveness (of self and others) and release, so this is a great Full Moon to be aware of how you might be holding onto grudges.

What do you need to let go of?

Is it time for a forgiveness ritual?

Compassion, Oneness and The Call to Service

Many people have felt a calling to be of service in the build up to this Full Moon.

Especially highlighted is the assistance being given to the people of Texas following the devastation of hurricane Harvey.

Pisces energy reminds us that we are all one. It is compassion, kindness and charity.

This will be especially heightened by Neptune also sitting conjunct the Pisces Moon.

Prayers also carry loving energy and I am a strong believer in their power, so if you want to help someone, but can’t do so physically (because you’re far away or they’re not open to receiving help from you), it may help to pray on their behalf instead.

Increased Sensitivity, Intuition and Empathy

On a personal level, you may be noticing an increase in your own sensitivity and that may make you feel like withdrawing and being alone; especially if you view the World as harsh or are surrounded by others who don’t share your need for gentleness.

Spending time in nature can be helpful, as can meditation and spending time with your soul self (higher self).

Meditation will also strengthen your intuition, help to lessen anxiety and increase your ability to go with the flow.

So much Piscean/Neptune energy can also bring the potential for confusion and for feeling foggy.

If this is you or you’re connecting with anxious feelings then beginning a daily meditation ritual could work wonders.

The Sun and Mars in Virgo energy loves rituals – are yours serving you?

As Within, So Without

Are your surroundings a good reflection of your inner self?

When Virgo energy is strong, we can feel strongly affected by clutter; suddenly needing to have a clear out, a clean up and to have everything in its rightful place.

The Piscean/Neptune influence can work well with this and we can use our intuition in the form of a Feng Shui tune up.

How does your home environment feel?

Could certain areas be cleaned up or re-organised?

I feel it’s no coincidence that our renovations are still in full swing at home having recommenced at the time that I began my recent 25 day Fast.

Remember that your outer World (what you are manifesting out into the field around you) is a reflection of your inner state.

Is your home a loving, peaceful sanctuary? How does it affect your energy?

We still have Venus, the North Node and Mercury (stationary) placed in Leo as this Full Moon hits, so why not embrace your creativity and see what you can re-design?

Do Something that Inspires You or Inspire Others

Playing music and/or watching movies that inspire and uplift you are also a great way to enjoy the Pisces Full Moon energy.

I watched Hook and Moana over the weekend with my little one – both awesome.

It’s so sad that we lost Robyn Williams so young and through such tragic circumstances, but how blessed are we with the brilliance that he left us.

He had the ability to inspire and uplift many of us through his acting.

Those with the ability to act often embody a strong Pisces, Jupiter or Neptune influence to their energy.

What Artistic gifts would you like to share with the World as we enter this Full Moon?

Is there something that you could do in your daily life to help inspire, uplift or heal?

Illumination of Shadows

Full Moons can also bring our shadows to the surface, so be aware of the negative aspects of Pisces, which may show themselves to you as we get closer to the moon’s fullness –

  • Overwhelm (of life, of emotions) – see meditation advice above if you relate to this.
  • Confusion (feeling vague, lost, foggy,) – could diet be playing a part? Gut/Brain connection?
  • Denial of Responsibility (wanting to bury your head in the sand instead of dealing with any issues that are presented – hint: dealing with them will put you in a better place 🙂 )
  • Dishonesty, Delusion or Deceit (of self or by others or often by own expectations)
  • Feeling Powerless/Like a Victim of Life – how can you take steps to begin to empower yourself?
  • Addictive Patterns/Behaviours (Drink, Drugs, Running Away, Hiding, Over-eating – as above… is there anything that you can do to start to break the pattern?)
  • Lack of Personal Boundaries (in relationships with others – perhaps you find certain people draining and need ways to better protect your personal energy or perhaps you need to say no more often and attend to your own needs as well as you do everyone elses…)

Could Early Wounds be Playing a Part?

Saturn in Sagittarius’ square to Chiron in Pisces remains active at this Full Moon indicating that low self worth and/or feelings of inadequacy could be arising now.

Are unconscious behaviours now be illuminated?

Do you or does someone else need to acknowledge how grief, deep emotional wounding (perhaps from childhood), or fear may be playing a part in these patterns?

Perhaps you fear your own sensitivity, appearing vulnerable and/or other’s judgements?

Is it time to release negative emotional patterns that may be holding you back from shining your light?

Mercury – Change of Direction

Mercury will turn direct on 5th September 2017 at 09:29:22pm (AEST, GMT+10) after journeying through Virgo and Leo this month, which should bring some forward momentum after a period of rework, rethinking, repair and possible withdrawal, so expect a smoother ride from this Full Moon onwards for a while.

The more wisely your use of the Mercury Retrograde period, the smoother the onward journey is likely to be…

Relationship Patterns

Of course, Mercury Retrograde can also bring up some communication issues in the form of relationship dilemmas.

What has the run up to this Full Moon taught you about your own communication style or your own style of relating?

Our relationships can serve as a mirror reflecting to us that which is in need of healing within us or the shadows that we are playing out in our daily lives.

Is it time to claim it all, to let go of blame – it really is all with you and all up to you.

How can you change that reflection to make your life more of what you want it to be?

Mercury is now Retrograde!! What Does This Mean For You?

Mercury Retrograde – The Details…

At 11:01:14 am here in Brisbane (AEST, GMT +10) this morning (August 13th) Mercury turned retrograde in our skies at 11degrees and 38seconds of Virgo, which means that from our position here on Earth he will now appear to move backwards for a little over 3 weeks.

When Mercury reverses direction it gives us a chance to review, repair, refresh and reignite and with Virgo being the first sign of this particular retrograde, you can bet that practical matters will be coming up for review at some point during the next few weeks.

Between now and 5th September (09:29pm AEST, GMT +10), when Mercury will once again turn direct,  anything that pertains to your Earthly reality is set to undergo a period of re-organisation.

And, Virgo loves the details, so be prepared to dot any outstanding Is and cross some Ts!!

Time to Get Organised…

Think’ Practical Re-Organisation’; such as D.I.Y, Finances, Bodily/Physical Health, Work Matters, Routines, Daily Habits.

What needs to be reworked so that you can move forward unencumbered for the next stage of your journey?

Those mounting accounts may seem a dull and dreary chore, but by not going there you’re only making that chore appear bigger.

By attending to what needs to be done you can release any negative feelings towards it, freshen the energy of yourself, your home and your daily life and make saying ‘Yes’ to future projects/opportunities easier, as you’ll have freed up space to fit it in.

Why Not Set Some Health Goals…

As Virgo is also strongly aligned with health, it could be time to check in with how yours is going.

Is it time to introduce or increase healthy rituals into your life?

If so, then this is a fabulous time to really look at your day to day life, eating and exercise habits.

Could something in this area do with a rethink?

How could you gain more vitality and everyday well-being?

Perhaps you’d like to bring more natural into your life when it comes to your choice of treatment as well, as Earthy Virgo is also concerned with the natural World.

Think Bush Flower Essences, Aromatherapy, Fresh Fruits, Veggies, Earth-Given Therapies…

Potential Communication Challenges

This particular Mercury retrograde appears alongside our upcoming August New Moon, which is also our second Eclipse of the month and our final Eclipse of the year.

Therefore, pay close attention to any communication issues that may arise now.

Something could be being bought to the surface for attention and healing.

In my experience, sweeping things under carpets doesn’t keep them hidden for long, so it may be time to take a good look at what’s really going on and see what you can refine and re-establish in this area.

Bernadette Brady has also connected this particular Eclipse with health issues or tiredness, which ties in with the Virgo theme of self-care, ritual and getting back to nature that we were discussing earlier.

Time to Re-Skill?

Virgo is the sign of the perfectionist. Hence the need may also arise to hone your skills in some area of your life.

Perhaps something needs some re-attunement now or perhaps you’ll find yourself needing to revisit something you thought you’d mastered…

Watch for Self-Criticism and Criticism of Others…

It can also be a very self-critical sign, so rather than wallowing in an overwhelming self-berating emotional wash of despair, try to stand back emotionally from any challenges that you may face during the retrograde period and instead, take a deep breath and tackle those challenges one by one in a methodical way.

Pay extra attention to the words that you use at this time too. Are you being overly critical of others?

Do they deserve your tongue lashings?

Mercury Retrograde in Leo

Renewed Inspiration and Taking Time for Recreation (Re-Creation)

Mercury will also be backtracking into Leo during his retrograde journey. As he traverses ‘seemingly backwards’ through this fiery sign you may find yourself re-thinking how you want to express yourself.

There could be a review of creative projects and changes to what inspires you or to how you want to inspire others.

Mercury retrograde in Leo is all about reviewing what sets your heart alight, your ability to be spontaneous and to re-connect with what you find playful, so give it time.

You’re re-creating yourself and the way that you manifest your World!!

Make time to relax and have some fun.

Have Patience…

Patience is always a good trait to have during these retrogrades, so if you’re feeling somewhat blocked creatively or held back from achieving your desires, give your mind time to upgrade and once this particular retrograde is over you may have more of an idea about why those frustrations arose.

As Mercury rules short distance travel and all forms of communication there can also be issues with vehicles, mail mix ups (including email) and network dilemmas.

Check, Double Check and if something doesn’t seem to be progressing as fast as you’d like, try dropping the impatience and doing something else for now or perhaps trying to do it differently.

How I’m Handling This One…

It’s no coincidence that I began my fasting marathon as Mercury passed 28 degrees and 25 seconds of Leo (the point to which he will return during this particular retrograde).

The lead up to a Retrograde is classed as a ‘shadow period’ by some Astrologers and I’ve certainly seen this at work in my own life.

Being Mercury-ruled, I am rather sensitive to Mercury Retrograde energy and this time (with Mercury moving through the 8th house of my natal chart – transformation!!) I certainly feel that I’m re-building and re-forming myself to a much healthier, re-energised me!!

Natural Health and Fasting are also something that I feel passionate about, so this fast is really giving me the opportunity to walk my talk.

That doesn’t mean that it’s been easy to do, of course.

Yesterday was probably one of my toughest days yet and I could have so easily eaten, but with only 8 days remaining on the juice fast component of this program there’s no way I’m throwing in the towel!!

Roll on Monday 21st August when I’ll begin gently breaking my fast and eating delicious raw food 😊

On top of that I have some mounting paperwork to climb through and we’re renovating, so it’s certainly a busy period in our house!!

Remember – real transformation takes effort and a willingness to act.

How Will This Retrograde Likely Affect You?

Perhaps you’ve also begun something (or been nudged to re-do something) over the last 2 weeks, as Mercury slowed down to turn retrograde or perhaps this week has been particularly frustrating for you in some way.

If so, then see if you can look at what Mercury may be attempting to change for you as you venture into the next 23 days.

The Freedom to Stand in your Truth

So how’s your truth barometer going out there, blossom?

Sagittarius is a sign greatly aligned with truth and with the Black Moon (also in Sagittarius) sitting conjunct this particular Full Moon be prepared to want to honour yours.

You may find (especially if you’re particularly sensitive to energy) that your BS radar is particularly fine tuned this month as well.

If you’ve been feeling suppressed or held back, the build up to this full Moon could find you struggling with that and wanting to let it all out.

Inspiration and Motivation

The warm and radiant Fire Grand Trine (Moon, Saturn, Leo North Node and Uranus) is helpful in that it is infusing a dose of courage, faith and motivation into making changes at this Full Moon.

What makes you feel vital and alive?

Do more of that.

Honour Spontaneity, Adventure and Your Vision.

Be Truth, Be Open.

Pursue Growth and Expansion.

The T square involving the Full Moon, Saturn and Chiron may indicate that painful experiences, illness or pain are the driving force behind or maybe this pain is coming up for you as you move towards being all that you want to be during this life time.

Old wounds, low self confidence, an inability to feel ”seen’ for who you really are or a lack of courage may present themselves.

Do you feel free to express exactly who you are?

Ultimately, it is you that is responsible for your emotional well-being, so please listen to what it is that you’re needing right now.

There is something that you innately know about who you came to be during this lifetime.

Are you pursuing that?

Wise Teacher

Perhaps someone or something has appeared within your life (or will do so as we get closer to the Full Moon), who will act as a teacher or guide for you at this time.

Or perhaps you need to seek out that person.

Who can help you with forward progress?

Relationship Tension

The ruler of this Moon is Jupiter; currently travelling through Libra and stationary at the time of this Full Moon, so expect some intensity if growth is required in one or several of your relationships.

Sometimes growth requires discomfort and a relationship cannot be it’s best without some emotional honesty and the freedom to be yourself.

If a relationship is not respectful of your freedom or your needs, it could feel stifling right now.

At the time of the Full Moon, Mars will be in Cancer forming an almost exact sextile with Venus in Taurus conjunct Uranus.

Perhaps the desire to rebel is conflicting with the urge to belong to or to care for others.

Can you meld the two together?

Is there a way to make it work and to cooperate without losing the true essence of who you are or your sense of freedom and space?

Wisdom

Sagittarius is also about wisdom and ultimately that means your own inner wisdom.

Do you have a strong, innate connection to your inner self/your inner wise man/woman?

Do you tune in and listen to what your heart desires?

If you’re feeling lost, lacking in purpose or uninspired it could be time to take up a spiritual practice.

Whatever draws you; whether that be yoga, meditation, going church or a regular group, which nurtures your spirit and strengthens your intuition, could prove greatly healing right now.

Toxic Emotions/The Shadow Side

Remember that Full Moons tend to bring out the shadow, so watch for the shadow traits of Sagittarius, which may present themselves at this time – Moralistic Behaviour, Judgement, Excess, Clumsiness, Irresponsibility, Tactlessness.

Toxic Emotions, which serve to hold you back may also surface now – Fear, Guilt, Lack, Duty…

These are Ego-based emotions that keep your energy low and letting these emotions drive your actions can make life seem dull, miserable and burdensome.

If you’re sensitive, it may also be worth considering having a News break or a Social Media Sojourn.

It’s amazing how a reconnection with the real World around you can restore inner peace and give you more time to do the things you love.

Choosing Self Love and Vulnerability over Fear

With Venus in Taurus at this Full Moon, why not choose Self Love and to elevate your Self Worth?

Yes, it may feel frightening to stand in the true essence and light of who you are and it may feel especially vulnerable, but that vulnerability is often your greatest asset.

After all, you cannot be yourself whilst you are fearing what others’ will think of the real you.

Do things that make you feel grateful, that nurture and love your body and which increase your overall sense of well-being.

Even if at first, that feels a little ‘selfish’.

Working on you is actually one of the least selfish things that you can do, because when you’re functioning from a full cup,  it increases your capacity to be there for others, to raise the vibration of the Planet and to be a source of light and joy for those around you.

Do this and you’ll likely tap into the positive aspects of Sagittarius – Faith, Optimism, Honesty, Spontaneity and Adventure.

In Honour of those Leading the Way

This write up would not be complete without honouring the amazing people who refuse to stay silent against wrong-doing in our World.

The courageous souls, who become ‘whistle-blowers’ or who stand up against the might of the system for those vulnerable souls, who do not have a voice (including our animal kingdom).

There are some mightily inspirational people out there standing in their truth and bringing through the most amazing changes to make the Earth a better place.

At this Full Moon, please consider lighting a candle and praying for them and all that they do. It’s no easy task; especially when they often risk persecution, ridicule, disbelief and sometimes danger.

Please be mindful of what you believe in; especially News reports, which often seek to divide and conquer.

Your heart always knows the truth, so tune in often and always question what doesn’t feel valid.
