That Which You Seek is Seeking You (Rumi) – New Moon in Sagittarius November 2016

www-motherearthastrology-comOn 29th November 2016 at 10:17pm (AEST) we have our New Moon in Sagittarius.

The energy feels so expansive at the minute and with Mercury also travelling through Sagittarius at the time of this New Moon you may find yourself craving inspiration, new adventures and mental stimulation.

Fiery Sagittarius energy is boundless, optimistic and eager, so allow yourself to feel enthused.

Remember that a New Moon gives us a chance to plant a seed in order that we can nurture something new into our lives.

With this one falling on Sagittarius 8 (Sabian Symbol: “Deep Within The Depths Of The Earth, New Elements Are Being Formed”), you may feel a sense of something new approaching.

It’s like something has changed deep within you and something greater is calling, but you may not be entirely sure of what that is.

This is further hinted at With Neptune sitting on the South Node and squaring The Moon. There’s a sense of having to let go of something in order to move forwards, but the square to Neptune can also bring up irrational worries and a sense that you’re not yet in possession of all the facts; calling for trust.

Mercury’s placement on Sagittarius 26: “A Flag-Bearer In A Battle” appears to suggest that you’ll be ushering in a new energy/way of being and that it’s now time to go with it and to stand in your truth.

With Saturn (representative of fear) also sitting in Sagittarius and conjunct this New Moon, however, it may take courage for you to follow your inner wisdom.

Maybe you are fearing that you’ll become “too big” and are worrying about what others will think of you if you dare to become more than you currently are.

Perhaps there are people or situations, which you feel are holding you back or perhaps you feel a sense of inadequacy or fear around taking on the challenge.

Whatever those fears are remember that the Jupiter/Pluto Square is now in operation and the opportunity for huge transformation and powerful growth is here.

This is the time to be adventurous and to take on challenges that you feel are aligned with your soul’s calling and your inner wisdom.

Listen to your gut (your inner knowing) and pursue your vision; even if it’s just an intuitive hunch at the minute.

With Jupiter in Libra (sign of relationships) and Pluto snuggled up close to Venus (the love planet), this New Moon may see you craving much of that inspiration and growth through a personal relationship.

Conversations may be necessary to acheive much-needed changes, but be mindful that strong Sagittarian energy isn’t renowned for tact, so be mindful of ‘foot in mouth’ syndrome.

To see where this energy is activating your personal birth chart, look for 7 degrees and 42 seconds of Sagittarius.

Which house (area of life) is the New Energy falling in? What does that house represent?

Do you have a planet around 7 degrees of the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces)? What does that planet represent?

Can you sense new energy coming into your life around this theme?

Are you Ready for Powerful Growth, Unexpected Opportunities and a Chance to Break Out of Restriction? – Move over Saturn – Hello Jupiter 🙂

The Potential For Powerful Growth, Bounty and the Realising of Ambitions – The Arrival of the Jupiter/Pluto Square

Tomorrow, we are set to encounter the first hit of two long term transits of growth.

As usual, the extent to which these transits will affect you on a personal level depends upon your individual birth chart (more on that later)

How they play out will depend; not only on where they feature within your chart, but in how you respond  to them.

So, here’s a heads up to help you prepare…

Ambition, Challenge and the Potential for Powerful Growth

The Jupiter/Pluto Square is the first transit. Due to exact at 07:28am here in Brisbane (AEST),it will be in effect until early August 2017.

Jupiter/Pluto is big energy and a square is an aspect of challenge, so if this happens to be hitting your chart, you may at times feel stretched and pushed to the limit.

This is the type of energy that can move mountains, but it can also create tension, so be mindful of stress and look after your body with regular workouts, time out in nature and nutritious food.

The potential for powerful growth is big and this is ambitious energy, but Jupiter’s placement in Libra is a reminder that balance will be important to prevent burn out and lopsidedness; especially if you seem to be juggling many different demands on your time and energy.

If you tend to reach for the sweet stuff when stress levels peak this could be exacerbated at this time, as Jupiter can tend to excess and Libra is the sign ruling sugar.

To mitigate falling into bad health habits, it may help to have some more healthful sweet treats to hand; such as fresh fruit or maybe try my chocolate bliss balls or chocolate avocado cake, which can both be kept in the freezer (cut the avocado cake into portions).

Balance, Equality and Fairness

Jupiter in Libra also brings up themes of equality, balance, justice and fairness, which  may well be bought to the fore both on a personal and a wider scale and with Pluto in the sign of Capricorn something related to the structure of your life is likely up for transformation and change.

On the global scale, there could be a push for reform around these themes aimed at those in power, which makes me wonder if the topic of same-sex marriage is set to come to the fore again in the next few months and maybe this time (hopefully) those marriage rights will be given here in Australia.

Abundance and Bounty

The tipping of the scales (balance) may also apply in the abundant sense. If you were strongly affected by Saturn’s restrictive tendencies during 2016, you may now find that Jupiter is bringing you opportunity(ies) that open you up to greater abundance.

Jupiter transits are synonymous with ‘more of’, so if this transit is affecting you financially you could be in for some good news.

It’s unlikely to fall into your lap with this set up, however and such bounty is likely going to have to be strived for.

Relationships and the Fear of Transformation and Growth

With Pluto sitting tightly conjunct Venus (which also disposits Jupiter) in the chart of this first hit, it’s likely that relationships will undergo some friction.

Perhaps power struggles, resentment or other deeper issues will surface/resurface and demand your attention.

Remember that Jupiter is asking for growth and Pluto is requesting that something be broken down and regenerated, so be mindful of what is coming up and look for the real meaning.

Yes, it can feel scary to have conversations around what it is that you’re not happy with. Especially with Saturn (our fears) currently conjunct Mercury (speech).

We can feel fearful that our loved one will up and leave us or that we may have to experience some kind of confrontation, but if you’re both willing to grow together, just think where those conversations could eventually lead to.

And frankly, what’s the alternative?  – To spend your time treading on egg shells, to bury your anger and walk around full of resentment or to live a life that you don’t really want to be living.

Isn’t it better to do the work, no matter how fearful that makes you?

Desire for Independence and Greater Freedom – Inspire me!

Between now and late December (when Jupiter is set to oppose Uranus), you may also find yourself wanting more freedom and independence within a partnership, friendship or other union.

Jupiter seeks inspiration, so make a note of where things feel a little stagnant and see how you can breathe a little excitement back in.

Think Before Speaking and Slow Down

With an emphasis on Sagittarius (ruled by Jupiter) in our skies (Sun, Mercury and Saturn) be mindful of thinking before you speak (Mercury), as Sagittarius energy has a reputation for tactlessness and there may also be some lessons (Saturn) to learn around that.

With the Sun in Sagittarius for the next four weeks,  the saying “more haste, less speed” also seems apt. Especially with the Sagittarian tendency to clumsiness.

Slow down and take each day at a time.

How will this transit affect you?

Remember that the extent to how a transit affects you on a personal level relates to the contact that it is making with your personal birth chart.

What happens with the energy will depend on how you react to it and what you choose to do with it.

The houses of your chart represent areas of life. You can follow these three steps to get an idea of where the action is likely going to happen for you:

  1. Look for the houses/house that contain(s) from 15 degrees and 46 seconds to 23 degrees and 8 seconds of Libra . This is where Jupiter will be moving through your chart at the time of this transit. This house represents the area of life that is seeking growth, expansion, more of.
  2. Now look for the houses/house that contain(s) from 15 degrees and 46 seconds to 19 degrees and 23 seconds of Capricorn. This is where Pluto will be moving through your chart at the time of this transit. Which area of your life is ready for some transformation, renovation, regeneration?
  3. Now look for any planets that you have in your natal chart that are placed at these degrees (15 degrees to 23 degrees of Libra and 15 degrees to 19 degrees of Capricorn). These planets will be activated by this transit. What do they represent?

If the Jupiter/Pluto square activates planets within your chart (point 3) then you are likely to be strongly affected by this energy.

Wishing you much growth and success,

Are you Ready for Powerful Growth, Unexpected Opportunities and a Chance to Break Out of Restriction? – Move over Saturn – Hello Jupiter :)

Move over Saturn

During much of 2016, Saturn was the planet in the hot seat; sprinkling your World with a dose of reality and asking that you get grounded, take responsibility and attend to the material matters.

Add to that a year when Mercury has been retrograding through the Earth signs and you’ve likely been asked to ‘get real’ and to put things into perspective this year.

With a strong square to Neptune also in play, your view of the World may have been one of disillusionment and uncertainty for a while there and this transit in particular had some of us feeling a little overwhelmed, sometimes depressed and perhaps unworthy or confused at times.

My personal take on this year was that it was best to keep things simple, to attend to what needed attending to and to continue to work on those dreams as best as one could; whilst keeping a grateful heart about the things that really matter in life – always the simple stuff!

Since September and the final hit of that Saturn/Neptune energy things have started to move and if you managed to tap into some of the power that was on offer during the last few weeks (the Scorpio month) then the chances are that you’re now moving some mountains again – or at least you’ve started to.

Hello Jupiter

The great news is that this forward-momentum is set to continue as we now move into a period of Jupiter-energy.

Where Saturn tends to constrict and restrict, Jupiter enlarges and expands.

Where Saturn can bring fear and pessimism, Jupiter can bring hope and optimism.

There is a watch point in all of this, however, so please be mindful.

Where Saturn usually requires patience, reliability and discipline, Jupiter has a bit of a reputation for sloppiness, haste and excess.

Jupiter square Pluto – What Heights Will You Scale?

what-heights-will-you-scale_Jupiter (the planet of growth and expansion) will be making a series of squares to power-planet Pluto from early Friday morning (November 25th 2016) (AEST) until early August 2017.

This is big, strong energy and squares being aspects of challenge you may have to expect a few of those (challenges).

Squares tend to push us to achieve whatever the energy is bringing (in this case the potential for powerful growth, freedom and transformation) by increasing tension, so if something in your life is needing attention, expect that need to increase until you attend to it.

At times you may feel stretched and with Jupiter’s placement in Libra please keep in mind that balance will be important to prevent burn out and lopsidedness.

This transit has the potential to get all the workaholics fired up, so if that’s you – it may help to remember that personal care, home, your family and your love life are just as important to your well-being; especially so with Jupiter residing in Libra (sign of balance, harmony, relationships).

For more detail, you can read my blog post on the Jupiter/Pluto square by clicking here – including a run down on the energy and its potential manifestation, important dates and how to assess how it is likely to affect you on a personal level.

If you don’t want to miss future updates on this energy (and you probably don’t),  you can subscribe to my blog to ensure that you’re updated when it goes live.

Alternatively, you can like me on Facebook and catch up on there.

Jupiter opposition Uranus – The Urge to Break Free

From 27th December 2016 (AEST) until mid-September 2017 Jupiter will also be forming a series of oppositions with Uranus. break-free-chains

If you’ve been ignoring the need to expand and change your World (bought to you from the Jupiter/Pluto square mentioned above) then this transit may be just what’s needed to spur you into action.

Why can I hear Queen singing “I want to break free” in my ear? Because that’s exactly what you’re likely to want to do once this transit hits.

This energy is one of excitement; ushering in a craving for the new and a desire to be free of unnecessary obligation and limitation; perhaps triggered by an unexpected opportunity.

This is also likely to be a time when you just cannot continue to do what is no longer working or what you feel is holding you back and with Jupiter in Libra that may well apply to your relationships.

This is a time to allow everyone a little space, encourage adventurousness and to explore new horizons.

If that scares you, then consider the opposite – stagnation.

Umm!! Now, where did I put that travel brochure?…

More on the Jupiter/Uranus Opposition will follow late December, so remember to subscribe to my blog or like me on Facebook if you want to stay in the loop 🙂

Uranus/Pluto Energy – A reactivation of the square

If you’ve been around the Astrology circuit for a while, you may have felt your intuition prick at the mention of both Pluto and Uranus in this report and yes, that means that Jupiter will be activating a little more of both.

Although the Uranus/Pluto square of the last few years is passing away, it isn’t over yet.

With Jupiter at the helm expect a period of growth, awakening, change, transformation and reform both on a personal level and a global level.

Angelic Help and Assistanceangel

I’d also like to mention here the healing power of prayer. Jupiter is a planet aligned with the spiritual; both spiritual growth and spiritual assistance, Pluto is powerful beyond measure and Uranus is unexpected and often sudden.

Therefore, if you’re finding yourself in a difficult position, if you’re struggling with an issue and or if you really just can’t see an answer or a way out then please remember to pray for guidance and assistance from the unseen realms.

When doing so, I find it works best for me if I explain what’s troubling me, ask the Angels to show me how to solve the particular problem and then I hand the full problem over to them for a solution.

Give it a go and remain alert for answers. You may just be surprised at how swiftly these Angelic messengers can work 🙂

With Love, Toria xo

Saturn Retrograde Cycle 2016 – Fruition or Closure?

At 08:51pm this evening (AEST), Saturn passed over the degree at which he first turned retrograde (16 degrees 24 seconds of Sagittarius) back in March 2016.

Between now and 10th December,  expect something to be bought to either fruition or closure; something that was likely instigated, up for review or perhaps, even presumed finished during March.

The Saturn Retrograde Cycle is synonymous with experiencing hard work, delay and potential frustration(s).

Add to that the Saturn/Neptune Square of 2016 and it’s certainly been a year of restriction/disillusionment for many.

Remember to look at where these transits have been active within your birth chart.

Saturn’s Retrograde Cycle has covered 9 to 16 degrees of Sagittarius.Which house does that represent for you and what are the themes related to that house?

If a planet resides between 9 and 16 degrees of the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces) then it is likely that you were strongly affected by the Saturn (Sat On) energy this year.

Since the final hit of the Saturn/Neptune square back in September, it’s likely that you have been experiencing some forward momentum and with Saturn’s final pass over 16 degrees and 24 seconds of Sagittarius this momentum is now likely to ramp up somewhat.

The next four weeks will allow conclusions to be formed around whatever it is that you’ve been working on.

Add to this that Neptune is currently stationary and preparing to turn direct after a long retrograde period and you’ll be wise to remain patient (just a little longer).

Don’t try to push for those conclusions; especially if you’re still feeling vague/confused about your direction.

Tap into your intuition and have faith that they will come.

This can take place in two ways – fruition or closure, so over the next month note what appears –

Is all of your hard work and dedication now starting to bare fruit?

If that’s the case, remember to make time to celebrate and enjoy your success.

What has Saturn helped you to manifest within your life?

Alternatively, you may now find yourself saying goodbye to anything that hasn’t worked out – a relationship, a job, a project, an idea…

Saturn also represents our inner authority and sometime over the next four weeks you may just glean something of an increase in that.

Wishing you a greater sense of empowerment and a lifting of the fog,

Toria xo

Full Moon in Taurus Today- Set to be a Magnificent Sight

Full Moon Flash(1)

At 11:51pm here in Brisbane (AEST) the Full Moon in Taurus will be exact in our skies and she’s going to be spectacular.

According to this Forbes article, this particular Full Moon is set to be the biggest Moon that we’ve seen in 68 years due to its close proximity with the Earth.

She will be visible in Brisbane from 6pm onwards.

Here’s a Moon rise and set calculator so you can find out the time for your region and make sure that you get to see her too!!

Remember that the build up to a Full Moon can illuminate shadow aspects, so be mindful of what has been appearing in your life over the last week and think about how you can transmute any negative patterns/behaviours.

The Need For a Safe Haven, Sensuality and Owning Your Inner Power- November’s Full Moon in Taurus 2016

full-moon-in-taurus

We are currently building to our Full Moon in Taurus, which will be exact at 11:51pm on November 14th here in Brisbane (AEST).

The Need to Feel Grounded, Safe and Materially Secure

Taurus is a sign associated with sensuality, stability, comfort, security and the Earth (literally the ground beneath our feet).

Often dubbed as “the earthiest of the Earth signs”, Taurus is concerned with putting down roots, material comfort and permanence and those with Taurus strong in their charts often crave a sense of grounding, steadiness and safety.

The Call To Transformation: Do You Need To Let Go Of Self-Destructive Habits?

Taurus is also representative of the physical body and sensual delight.

With the Sun falling in the polar opposite sign of Scorpio you may want to ask yourself if you are looking after your body to your best ability or does your self care warrant a transformation?

The New Moon, which fell in Scorpio on 31st October carried deep and powerful energy that could have been put to good use in making those needed changes.

Have you been called to transform something in your life?

With the Black Moon (currently in Scorpio) conjunct the Sun at this Full Moon some of us may be called to confront some self-destructive habits that keep us locked in a sense of powerlessness.

Remember that the build up to a Full Moon can often bring up energy that is no longer serving us, which is calling to be released.

What do you need to relinquish?

Taurus energy may find us wanting to hold onto bad habits that we are emotionally tied to; especially around food, money and self-indulgence, so be mindful of any prompts or occurrences that bring this to your attention.

Remember also that ignoring the need for change can lead to a feeling of being stuck and victimised.

Is it really worth it?

Transformation and Growth Through Relationships

On a another note, this Full Moon is ruled by Venus and is disposited by Jupiter in Libra, so be open to the higher message if you are going through relationship difficulties.

What is requiring growth and transformation between you?

What are you no longer willing to tolerate and are you both willing to do the work?

Black Moon energy can highlight suppression and her connection with the Sun may find you finally speaking out about the darker side of your relationship; perhaps in relation to power plays, deep psychological issues, shared intimacy/resources or negative behaviours.

Opening To Abundance and Self Worth

The Sabian Symbol for the degree of the Full Moon (Taurus 23) is: “A Jewellery Shop Filled With The Most Magnificent Jewels” quite apt for the theme of beautifying oneself, one’s surroundings or one’s possessions in some way.

Are you honouring your worth?

Any transformation can take patience, perseverance and stamina (all positive Taurean qualities).

If you’re feeling put off by that, remember that the end result is almost always worth the effort.

Usually others will compliment you on those changes, which can lead to a feeling of well-being and contentment, as all your hard work is reflected back at you.

Are you being the best that you can be?

Have you been beautifying something this month?

Alternatively, you may have been called to make changes that relate to your resources.

Fruition – What Is Coming Into Bloom?

What did you begin around 31st October and how is it now looking?

October’s New Moon held promise for the creatives, musicians and for those adept at tapping into their intuition.

If that related to you, perhaps you have a project that is due for fruition under this Full Moon.

Relating This Full Moon To Your Personal Birth Chart

Remember to look where 22 degrees and 37 seconds of Taurus falls within your natal chart.

Is there a Taurean theme (beauty, physical manifestation, safety, the ability to provide, sensuality, material security) being illuminated for you at this time around that house placement (area of life)?

Has something in that area been requiring change?

If you need some help with this, my E-Book “Introductory Tips for Astrological Self Awareness” is available for free when you sign up to my Newsletter.

If you know that something needs to change, but are having difficulty in making it happen, this blog post may help you.

Wishing you Illumination, Joyful Fruition and a Reconnection to your Inner Power.
