What’s Preventing You From Moving Forwards? Cards Revealed :)

If you haven’t yet picked a card and would like to give this a go, you can find the original post here

Here are the cards and their meanings 🙂

Bush Flower Essence Choice Mars Retrograde Revealed

Card One: Sturt Desert Rose

Are you allowing feelings of guilt to hold you back from what you really want to be doing?

Guilt is a toxic emotion that can keep us in our own internal chains.

What are you feeling guilty about? Is this a valid emotional response or is it something that you have picked up in childhood – perhaps from a parent that always felt guilty, perhaps from messages you received from your caretakers? Perhaps from feeling different to your peers?

Giving to the self or acting on behalf of the self is not selfish if it does no harm to others. Often when we choose acts of self-care we empower others to do the same.

Looking after ourselves also puts us in a strong position to be there for others.

Remember, you are unique and only you can live your purpose. If you do not follow your heart, no one else can do it for you and why would you want them to?

Write on a piece of paper “I now release guilt from my life and choose to move forward with the courage to be true to myself”.

Release the message by either burning it or stamping on it and throwing it in the bin.

Card Two: Silver Princess

Are you feeling stuck and a little lost? Perhaps struggling to connect with why you are here and potentially feeling like you have nothing to contribute?

Do what brings you joy and see where this leads.

Enrol on a course that speaks to you or join a group.

Follow your heart and eventually, your purpose will find you.

If you feel that you are at a crossroads and do not know which way to turn try sitting in silence beneath a tree.

Write your possible options on separate pieces of paper and lay them out in front on you.

Close your eyes and breathe deeply until you feel a sense of stillness.

Now, take 3 deep breaths in and out; directing the in-breath to your heart.

Open your eyes and see which piece of paper that you are drawn to. What is your heart telling you?

Card Three: Wedding Bush

This card indicates that you may be having difficulty committing to something or someone.

What is preventing you from staying the distance?

Remember that being committed to something or someone does not have to mean enduring a ‘boring’ future.

Instead, we are gifted the treasure that only those, who choose to work with a deepening relationship or lifelong passion get to discover and cherish.

Let go of the fear and procrastination and you may well be amazed at the transformation that you are capable of.

Write 3 steps that you can follow to honour your commitment. Assign these steps dates in your calendar and set reminders.

Once these steps are complete assign 3 more.

This card can also indicate a need to give something up and to stay committed to that.

Card Four: Jacaranda

A lack of focus may be the issue here. Do you find that you tend to jump from one thing to another; failing to complete what you started?

Do you struggle to make decisions? Are you often involved in many projects at once; scattering your energy?

Working with the crystal Haematite to help bring you focus and to help to centre you could be the answer. Along with choosing to work on one thing at a time.

Writing out a task list and prioritising it could be beneficial.

Start each day with a grounding ritual (such as this one) to help maintain your focus throughout the day.

Sit in a quiet place where you will not be disturbed and breathe deeply until you feel peaceful.

Imagine green vines growing out from the base of your spine and moving down into the Earth.

Imagine the vines wrapping themselves around your Earth Star (energy centre approximately 6 inches below your feet) – You can imagine the Earth Star however feels right for you. For example, as a six pointed star.

Imagine the star is filled with liquid haematite and see the liquid flowing back up the vines and back to the base of your spine.

The haematite now fills your body. From the base of your spine it moves down your legs and into your feet and toes. It moves up through your torso and down each arm filling your hands and fingers.

It moves up through your neck and fills your head; eventually spilling out into the energy field around you.

Now imagine beautiful white stars coming down from the sky and entering the top of your head. The stars fill your body and your energy field.

Say: “I am now grounded and focused. I am connected to my intuition and I choose to manifest my goals; one by one.

Card Five: Tall Yellow Top

Fear of alienation may be playing a part in your ability to move forward. Do you feel different to others?

Do you feel that the path that you are choosing will take you further away from those around you?

Have you experienced some pain around belonging?

Aligning with others who share your views and beliefs can be helpful in these circumstances.

You may be a trail-blazer, but know that you are never truly alone.

Taking a course or joining a group with like-minded people can often connect us to our soul-family and can help us to feel a sense of connectedness with others.

You belong to this Earth. You are a breath of the All and your gifts are needed as much as everyone else’s to make up the whole.

Card Six: Sunshine Wattle

Are you allowing negative expectations to hold you back from what you want to do in life?

Perhaps you are stuck in a negative pattern or belief system that you don’t seem to be able to shake?

Do you regard the Past with pessimism? Sensing that life can be a struggle?

Working with the colour yellow can increase optimistic feelings. Surrounding yourself with yellow flowers or wearing yellow, for instance.

Just because something didn’t work out once doesn’t mean it can never work out.

Buying a beautiful yellow journal and writing 10 different things that you are grateful for in life each evening before getting into bed can help to boost your energy and help you to see the amazing things that you already have in your life.

Card Seven: Monga Waratah

This card indicates that you may fear doing things alone; that you are perhaps feeling weak and ineffective or that you feel that you cannot do things without the assistance of another.

Monga Waratah tells you that it is time to reclaim your inner power.

You can do this.

Surround yourself with the colour red.

For example, display red flowers in the home, wear something red each day, hold something red or meditate by looking into a red object.

Working with an empowering crystal; such as Chrysocolla (one of my favourites) may help to build up your confidence and strength. You can wear a peice around your neck or hold and connect with this beautiful crystal throughout the day.

Take one step today that you feel that you can do alone. Once you are confident with that action take a second step.

The more actions we take alone, the stronger we feel and the more empowered we become.

Card Eight: Illawarra Flame Tree

Is a fear of rejection holding you back?

Do you fear that others will shun you if you stand in your power and let yourself be seen exactly as you are?

Do you join in activities that you would rather not be doing as a way of feeling included?

There will always be those who judge us and there will always be those who support us.

Surround yourself with the supporters and maintain some emotional distance when judgement arises. Taking a deep breath and seeing that others are not always in the same place as us can help.

We cannot always be liked by everyone, but as long as we are liked by the right people and feel loved then what does it matter? Is it really worth dimming your light for?

You may also be experiencing a fear of responsibility. Do you delay events or actions because you fear that you will not be able to cope?

Affirm: “I am never given anything that I cannot deal with. I am always surrounded by encouraging, supportive and loving people. I am always helped upon my journey”.

Card Nine: Boab

This card implies that family viewpoints may be having a negative effect on your ability to act.

Is it time to release the chains of family conditioning?

Do you want to do something, but fear being judged or disapproved of by those that you love or by your ancestors?

Boab reminds us that we are here to create our own unique destiny. A destiny that may not necessarily be in keeping with what our family wishes us to do or to be.

There can also be a conscious realisation around a family pattern that has been repeated; such as finding that we struggle with motivation or suppressed anger and realising that this is something that one or both parents are/were dealing with.

When we choose to take responsibility for such traits and to consciously work with releasing them, our actions can have a healing effect on the whole family line; especially that of our children.

There may even be something deeper at work here, but whatever is coming up for you, perhaps it is now time to seek psychological or spiritual soul healing.

To finally confront those places within you that require love so that you can move forwards.

Card Ten: Kapok Bush

This card implies that there is a sense of giving up; of lost hope; potentially apathy.

Does it all seem too hard?

Often the most difficult step is the first.

Do you want to begin something? Maybe an exercise regime or a new venture? What is the first step to doing that?

Do you need to find a club? Do you need to write a plan?

This evening, make yourself a glass of wine or another favourite drink and take that first step.

Whether it involves a Google Search, a Phone call or a Decision.

Just do it.

There. That feels better now doesn’t it? 🙂

Now, what’s the next step?

When are you going to do it?

Write 3 action steps in your diary now for what you are going to do tomorrow.

Kapok Bush reminds us that we can turn things around. That we can take control of our lives, even when it all seems too hard.

Just take it day by day and one step at a time.

Write 3 actions in your diary every evening for the next day and carry them out. Watch how your life starts to change and how your energy begins to lift 🙂

Card Eleven: Southern Cross

Southern Cross helps us to understand that we are the creators of our destiny.

Have you been feeling powerless of late? Do you feel like a victim of circumstances?

Creating a manifestation board of your hopes, your dreams and the things that you would some day like to attain can help to connect you with your own unique desires.

Is it time to take responsibility for your life? To take it back into your hands? Maybe you have been complaining of late, feeling that life is against you or blaming others for your circumstances?

Southern Cross reminds us that each life experience offers us an opportunity to grow and it is often our response to these experiences that is responsible for the outcome.

Is there an area of life that you would love to change right now?

Maybe try sitting quietly by yourself this evening in a place where you will not be disturbed. Pour a glass of wine or a cup of your favourite tea and grab a book and a pen.

Write down what you would like to change at the top of a page.

Close the book and hold it close to your heart. Close your eyes and say: “Dear God/Universe/Source, I am calling on you for your loving support at this time. Please can you help me with (describe the situation)? Please show me how I can turn this situation around/move forwards with this situation. Please send me intuitive wisdom with regards to the steps that I can follow – now”.

Now open your eyes and your book. Take some deep breaths. Light a candle if you feel called and begin to write some action steps around how you can move forward.

Are there things that need to be let go of? Are there ideas coming through for things that you can action? Write them all down.

Once you have written down all of the ideas you can sort them into an action plan in order of priority/date.

Card Twelve: Five Corners

Low self worth may be impacting on your ability to make some headway in life.  Do you doubt your capabilities in some area?

If there is something that you would really like to do, but are fearing that you are not enough for the task then it’s possible that you need to value yourself more.

If your heart is saying yes then it may be time to take a deep breath and do one action step today that will move you in the direction of your heart’s desire.

Are you holding onto old energy? Perhaps someone criticised you when you were young? Let this go and make a promise to yourself that you will not let it hold you back in the future.

Working with Rose Quartz may help you.

Think about what makes your heart sing and then do it.

Gift yourself some self-care and perhaps treat yourself to a new haircut or book a style advisor and celebrate your beauty.

Enhancing your self love will increase your confidence to move forwards.

What’s Preventing You From Moving Forwards?

Okay, so it’s not yet Tuesday, but I wanted to get this one out early, as I have an action for you that may be particularly useful with the current Piscean Moon 🌙

Also, if you like games, you may find this a fun thing to do on a Monday 😉

Bush Flower Essence Choice Mars Retrograde

Mars is the God of War. He is virile, assertive and brave. If he wants something, he goes after it; often immediately.

When Mars travels in retrograde motion he turns our attention inwards🤔. Often revealing to us a habit or behaviour that we have that impinges on our forward motion.

What is stopping 🖐you from going after what you want?

The Piscean ♓️ Moon is all about letting go and the last aspect that the Moon will make before moving into Aries ♈️ tomorrow afternoon is a trine (harmonious aspect) with Mars.

Therefore, I want you to spend the rest of the time with our Piscean energy contemplating how you may be holding yourself back in life and, therefore, what disempowering habit or thought pattern, that you need to let go of🗑

I have something to help with this in a minute 😉

The twelve 🌺 cards pictured above are typical ways in which we can hold ourselves back in life.

Pick a card (or more), to which you are drawn.

I will reveal the cards and their meanings this evening.

Mars Retrograde 2016 – Mars moves into Scorpio

At 11:51pm (AEST) on Friday 27th May 2016 Mars will retrograde back into the sign of Scorpio ♏️ after his period traversing backwards through the sign of Sagittarius ♐️

In Sagittarius, Mars motivates us to grow and expand; seeking to be free to explore and to set off on the next adventure✈️. The boundless Sagittarian energy can imbue Mars with a ‘no holds barred’ assertion; direct, restless and unstoppable.

Mars in Sagittarius has the drive to pursue his vision👓. He can be sexually uncommitted, impulsive, optimistic and inspiring in his quest for freedom.

This Mars enjoys a spiritual quest and may boarder on the fanatical about his beliefs.

Therefore, when Mars turns retrograde in this sign we may experience strong feelings of frustration; likely related to our personal sense of freedom. How free do we feel that we are to be ourselves? Curtailing this wild, boundless Sagittarian energy🌪 is probably not going to happen without some internal challenge.

Mars in his traditionally-ruled sign of Scorpio ♏️ is powerfully placed. This is intense, volcanic energy; magnetic and brooding, deep and powerful. This Mars is tenacious and determined and does not back down without a fight.

Known for his penetrative insights, this Mars has the ability to detect that which cannot be seen nor felt. Motivated by mystery he can plumb the depths of the psyche and get to the root of what has previously been hidden🔎.

When expressing from his higher purpose, he is motivated by transformation and fighting the good fight to overturn negative power plays. He is intensely passionate 🔥 and purposeful.

When Mars backtracks into Scorpio the whole process of the retrograde is likely to intensify and deepen.

Mars retrograding through this sign is likely to trigger much that is hidden below the surface; bubbling it up and bringing much opportunity for release and subsequent transformation.

Intense anger; such as rage may be experienced in some cases and some of us may experience fear of our own power, whereas others may connect with a part of ourselves that feels powerless.

Another aspect to Mars retrograde is that he can uncover latent areas of psychic resources, which can motivate us into action.

The ultimate outcome (if we choose to do the work), could well be that of empowerment and a reconnection with our passions and the truth of just how magically powerful ✨ we really are.

Healing Psoriasis – My Big Wake Up Call and Why I Prefer a Natural Approach to Health

Tuesday Tip Off

Often, transits from the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) are experienced as events,  situations and/or people, which/who show up within our lives and  trigger something life-changing.

This is what happened to me when transiting Pluto, which was travelling in a square aspect to Uranus at the time (heavy stuff), squared my natal Pluto.

When transiting Pluto (where Pluto is right now in the sky) makes a square aspect (is 90 degrees apart from) to your natal Pluto you are usually somewhere in your late thirties or early forties.

It can be a time of purging (big Pluto word) and transforming (another big Pluto word) and the following story shows how an ailment that I was experiencing at the time nudged me onto a different path in regards to my future health and the way that I now deal with illness within my life.

Remember that when something shows up in life that appears bleak and miserable, it is wise to tune in, to listen and to be aware of the symbols around you. Follow your heart and, as much as it can be difficult to do, surrender to the process.

Place one foot in front of the other day by day.

We never know where the path will take us, but in my experience there has always been something good to take away from each event and sometimes what appears as dismal can actually be something that completely turns your life around.

The key is in breathing through the fear and the saying “Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway” is often apt for when we have big transits affecting our lives.

As a child, I would regularly have Eczema break outs, which appeared on my body in different places.

The usual way to resolve this was steroid cream, which mum would apply, and over the course of a few days it would ‘clear up’ again.

I learnt from a young age not to use anything too strong on my skin.

I have always been very sensitive to strong chemicals and have, therefore, mostly avoided heavily scented products and tended to opt for the more gentle offerings.

I remember feeling that this was something of an annoyance in my teenage years, as everyone seemed to be wearing strong perfumes and to be using scented bath products and I felt a little on the outside with my ‘mild’ products, which tended not to smell of anything at all.

In fact, I remember feeling annoyed at myself for being so sensitive. Something that I felt about both my skin and my emotional self.

The Eczema seemed to disappear as I got older, but I would still get the odd bout every now and again and I continued to use steroid cream whenever it got really sore.

In my early thirties, I began to  experience Psoriasis, which started appearing on my scalp, face, legs and hands.

I went to see Don Tolman talk in Brisbane around this time and heard him explain that steroid creams merely suppress skin rashes; pushing the toxicity below the surface and that Psoriasis was an indicator that there was a toxic build up in the body that the body was attempting to eliminate through the skin.

It made sense.

Don explained that the body has 5 eliminatory organs – the Liver, the Kidneys, the Colon, the Lungs and the Skin.

When the toxic overload gets too much for the internal organs we start to see signs of this on our skin.

He told us that the lemon and salt would help the skin to do its job in releasing the toxins and that it would help to clear it up.

So, there was my answer! … or so I thought!

Let’s call this the start of the story 🙂

I went home and applied some lemon and salt straight onto the small patch of Psoriasis on my hands.

Naively, I expected this small patch to simply heal within a few days and that would be the end of that.

But, oh no! That wasn’t the case at all.

My few days of applying the lemon and salt actually increased the Psoriasis and instead of my hands clearing they became much worse in a relatively short space of time. I also had poison lines running along my wrists.

It was like I had opened a gateway and, whatever was causing the Psoriasis, was now attempting to leave my body – through my hands.

Fast forwards on a few years and I now know that what I experienced was a type of ‘healing crisis’. It was my body indicating that there was much more going on within me and that needed to be attended to before my hands could heal. However, back then I had no idea.

What an eye opener! Before doing this, I had no idea that lemon and salt could be so powerful.

I stopped using the lemon and salt and before long the poison lines disappeared, but the Psoriasis didn’t.

In fact, it became worse and then seemed to stay that way.

I was now in a quandry, however, because I was going through a transition.

I had begun to discover the World of natural healing. My heart was full. I had listened to Don up on that stage and something within me was screaming out “Yes! This man makes sense! This is the way it should be”.

My mind, however, was sceptical.

I was starting to see that the medical World wasn’t right for me; that the steroid creams hadn’t really solved anything for my skin conditions, but it was early days and I was in that funny in-between stage of questioning.

I really didn’t know how to deal with my hands.

The ‘now-me’ knows that had I booked a one-on-one with Don he would have been able to offer me the right advice and got me sorted.

The ‘then-me’, however, was full of:

‘Well, what if I book a session with Don and that leads to more sessions and I spend heaps of money and I still don’t get this thing resolved?”

My mind was frowning and wagging a finger. My heart was gently glowing.

I’d heard Don speak of Fasting and I now had a copy of his book – The Farmacist Desk Reference.

I could Fast, but did I really want to and what if I went for a WHOLE day or maybe even TWO! without food and it didn’t resolve anything?

Meanwhile, the Psoriasis was painful and debilitating.

I avoided swimming pools because the chlorine would exacerbate the condition, I dreaded going to the beach where the sun and salt seemed to irritate it and, because I also had it on my hands, I found it painful to bathe both myself and my children.

It was a miserable time.

Even the most simple of daily duties, like washing the dishes, became a struggle.

My hands were cut and bleeding and they became so bad that I started wearing cotton gloves to hide them.

You realise at times like these how valuable certain body parts are and being a mum of three children (at the time) my hands were beyond priceless.

At this point (this is the low point in the story where the sad music usually plays), I visited a doctor.

I was emotional and in pain and I had no idea what to do about my hands.

Well, actually, I had a great idea, but I didn’t yet trust that I was capable of it nor that it would actually work!

My mind was still wagging that finger!

The doctor told me that Psoriasis was a grade stronger than Eczema. He spoke with me about stress levels and issued me with some steroid cream.

Despite knowing in my heart that this wasn’t the answer, I reluctantly used it.

I was feeling desperate.

The effect was not much change to my hands and a sore lump, which appeared in my armpit – known as a Carbuncle. I had a dark pink poison line running from my armpit halfway towards my elbow and it looked angry.

At this point, I took out my Don Tolman FDR (Farmacist Desk Reference) and looked up Carbuncle. There it was on the page; right before my eyes – ‘Carbuncle – can be caused by Steroid Cream’.

Now, I was listening!

Don’s words were beginning to make more and more sense to me. If the Psoriasis was caused by a build up of toxicity within my body, the toxicity needed to come out.

By applying the steroid cream, I was merely suppressing it and, because my hands were in such a nasty state, the attempt at suppression had resulted in the lump under my arm.

Bottom Line:”The toxicity had to go somewhere”.

Don’s advice for the Carbuncle was to Water Fast for 10 days.

Hmm! At this point, I had never even gone one day on just water before. Could I really survive on water for ten days straight?

Was it the answer?

It seemed to be an awful lot of effort.

I began water fasting. My other half worked out (intuitively) that if he massaged the area around the Carbuncle for me in a certain direction that it reduced the poison lines.

After two days on Water and still feeling emotional, but also a little excited by the results that I was experiencing (the lump was reducing as were the poison lines), I returned to my doctor.

My doctor did not share my excitement. He gave me a stern telling off, in fact.

He told me that I was crazy for not coming to see him sooner, that the massage (that had reduced the poison lines) was a dangerous thing to do.

That I was lucky that I wouldn’t have to have the Carbuncle cut out at this stage, that I should have seen him the minute it appeared and that I was to take some Antibiotics and if the lump was still there that I was to go back and see him once the antibiotics had run their course.

This was my big turning point. I’d seen too much to go back now.

My mind had stopped wagging that finger quite so sternly.

Listening to Don’s advice from that talk (around Psoriasis being indicative of a toxic build up within the body) I spent the next few months periodically fasting on water and clay and cleaning up my diet, whilst also taking Bush Flower Essences for my emotions; specifically the ones that tend to underlie conditions such as Psoriasis and, which applied to me.

During this time, an Indian guy at work saw my hands and told me about the Neem Tree. The Neem Tree is known as the ‘Mother Tree’ in India and he had been successfully using the extract from the Neem Leaves to treat his son’s Eczema.

It took a few months from this point, but by periodically fasting, continuing to take the Flower Essences and by using Neem Leaf Extract to manage my symptoms (fantastic for anything itchy ;)), I healed the Psoriasis.

So, you see, I really needed to purge. I needed to purge the physical toxicity from my body through fasting, I needed to acknowledge repressed anger that I had failed to express from my past that was now turning in on my body in the form of an auto-immune disease and I needed to heal and accept my emotional self.

Pluto was doing his job to transform my body and my outlook on life along with Uranus who was doing his best to wake me up to a healthier way of being, through a nasty skin eruption (very Uranus in Aries).

The Pluto/Uranus square was in effect from June 2012 until March 2015, but its ripple effects are still being felt.

To have that energy contact your personal chart was a wake up call in whatever area of your life that it touched.

Pluto, still travelling through the sign of Capricorn is tearing down the status quo of the basis of our society. Pluto is unearthing the undercurrents. showing us what has been hidden and on a personal note, Pluto was showing me what was hiding within my body and what needed to come out.

Uranus, still travelling through the sign of Aries has been triggering revolutions all around the globe and waking people up to where things have to change.

My own personal revolution was that of saying goodbye to the World of pharmaceuticals and of putting me into the path of the healing power of the natural World.

I am grateful to this every single day.

I have only set foot in a doctor’s office for personal reasons once since that day and that was to inform my doctor that I was expecting a baby.

I now understand my body so much more than what I once did. I no longer want to deal with my symptoms through suppression nor cutting nor drugs.

I trust that whatever comes up for me is treatable by natural methods and that much illness is predominantly prevented through my diet.

And more than that, I now love myself and my body more than I ever have. I love that my body is so sensitive and that it has been there for forty years alerting me to any issues that it has been experiencing.

I may not always like what it tells me, but I know that my body has my back and I know that if I honour the signals that I can live a long and healthy life completely in tune with nature, her rhythms and the mother of us all – Mother Earth.

If you’d like to start removing the chemicals or perhaps enhance your already chemical-free collection you can visit my online store and check out all of the Earth and Body Friendly products 🙂

Where do you wish to grow? This Sunday’s Full Moon in Sagittarius

This Sunday we have the Full Moon falling in the sign of Sagittarius. Sign of growth, freedom and adventure.

With Jupiter (ruler of this Full Moon) conjunct the North Node it seems that many of us will be contemplating how we are experiencing growth within our lives.

Do our current circumstances enable us to move towards our vision(s)? How free are we to be who we want to be?

The North Node in the sign of Virgo indicates that themes around our day to day working lives and/or our health could be highlighted.

Are we working in a role that enables us to feel of service to others, that honours the true expression of our self and that brings us joy?

Venus, in her own sign of Taurus, is in opposition to the Moon implying that there may be a conflict between our needs and our sense of self-worth.

The Sabian Symbol for Venus is: “An Old Indian Woman Selling Beads and Trinkets”. Are we working in a role that we really want to do or are we underestimating ourselves?

With regards to health, are we in the best shape that we could be in physically and emotionally so that we can move forward on life’s path unencumbered; with renewed strength and optimism?

The trine to Chiron suggests that some of us may be connecting with emotional and /or physical wounds/ailments and with Jupiter in Virgo as dispositor of Chiron there is the potential for healing.

With Jupiter forming a Grand Trine with Pluto and Mercury be open to the potential for opportunity around this Full Moon.

Perhaps through some news, a sudden idea around moving forwards or through recognising an opportunity to move through and transmute an emotional and/or physical impediment that has previously held you back.

With Mars tightly conjunct this Full Moon (within seconds of it, in fact), the current energy of the Mars retrograde is likely to be illuminated in some way within our lives in the lead up to or actually on this Sunday, as the Moon builds to Full and exacts.

Have we been feeling blocked or thwarted in our attempts at growth?

I have also discussed Mercury’s direction and the Sabian Symbols for the New Moon within this Mars Retrograde post, as it is all tightly interlinked this weekend.
